Such a contrast from some of his previous roles (Dragonborn, Hoist the Colours for example). Is there anything he can't do?
Geoff said that Cesar stole the show in this one. This is Layne's arrangement, so all the comedy is all his doing. They all have the best sense of humor. Having Geoff dressing to match Ashley was pure genius.
They also did a snippet of Luisa’s‘s song Surface Pressure. It’s not on TH-cam but it is on Instagram and TikTok. This was such a surprise coming so soon after the Dragonborn Skyrim release because it’s about as far away from that as you can get. Lane is either a comedic genius or just a little bit insane. I love that Jeff is Camilo the Shapeshifter and switches between his imitations of Bruno and of course the secret that happens when he turns into Isabella. You can’t see it on the screen but he’s even wearing the same pink shorts that Ashley is. I Layne’s beatboxing and imitation of Dolores with the pinpoint hearing and then Cesar’s expressions -Wow! He just embodies Felix. To get the flower petals to not fall immediately to the ground they had to use an industrial fan and a leaf blower. But that made them fly so fast that they didn’t waft done by but just blasted into their faces. So they recorded it at double time and then slowed it down for the video. I cannot believe how they pulled off singing that twice as fast as it should’ve been, but they did it.

When I compare Queen in 5 minutes to Wicked Medley, it's like they have just gotten so much better. It's a fun thing to watch, and it's fun watching your reaction!
The bass line for this was ON FIRE. Also, I'm really digging that slight rasp Geoff put into his voice in a few spots. Ashley OMG. Her voice is just sheer power. I love her belting. Also really enjoyed getting to hear Layne's voice singing, too. The comic relief in this whole piece was perfect. Geoff and that hair flip! 😂 I don't envy their audio engineer, though. All those layers of sound to get mixed together just right... LOL. Hope you don't have the technical problems on the next vid you make. Good luck with that. I'm a contralto, so I frequently end up with the bass line type of role when singing in all-female lineups. I think my ear goes straight to the bass line on the first listen for any piece now, and THEN I get the rest on repeated listens after that. It's not that I don't hear the others, too. It's just that my ear seems to always focus on the bass line the first listen. The rest comes in afterwards.
Take note that Cesar hit an even higher note than Ashley did at the end. Cesar is a force to be reckoned with. He proves that in the end of Dream On when he hit that high note.

But yeah, they don’t start with the stuff that really makes you say “wow” until they’ve kind of established the scene. Especially if you've seen the movie, you will probably hear more than you did the first time. I'd totally watch the hell out of you reacting to that. Since you are doing all the VoicePlay/Geoff Castellucci songs, I heard Freddie Mercury do a solo for Dave Clark back in 1984. It was from a musical Time, and the song is Time Waits for No One. It is very apropos with society today. I'd be interested in hearing your take on it.

I don't know how they come up with the bass line for Geoff usually, and I know you said it was different in this one, But this bass line is pretty much stock as it was written. Search "we don't talk about Bruno bass cover" and you ge the biggest part of it. There are a few tweaks, but that's how I managed to learn it. A lot of the time I have trouble hearing exactly what he's doing. Trying to learn how these guys do what they do. While not always as clean sounding as they do it, I can hit pretty much all the tones. Down to around D1 is comfortable, but kind of at a loss as to how to go about cleaning them up. Everything below that is pretty much unuseable noises in my opinion. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks! Always enjoy you reacting to these guys when I see you!
