A bit of advice as a tesla owner myself. I picked up my model 3 last year. I have a m3 rwd just like you I believe which means you also have the LFP battery. It actually hurts the battery to not be charged up to 100% at least once a week. There is literally no need to set your car to an 80% limit unless its a long range/performance/plaid. Also, I recommend setting up evgo and chargepoint so if you do need to charge your car at one of their chargers, you can.
Okay I’ll look into it! Thanks.
That depends. I have the 2021 M3 RWD as well. If the production date is Dec 2020 then it still has the NCA battery that recommends 80% for daily driving. This is the one I have. The screen will not recommend the daily drive charge if it’s the LFP model. I can’t tell from the video which one he has though.
@@THESUPREMEDJactually most 2021s are nca batteries in the us. The 2021s with lfp batteries are china builds shipped to the us and in smaller numbers.
Charging an LFP battery to 100% isnt for battery health but to help the battery manage system (BMS) better calculate estimated range. No battery regardless of chemistry likes sitting at 100% or below 5% for extended periods of time.
@@conchobarthat is not true at all, it’s chemistry… the LiFePO4 cathode does not degrade at a 100% charge unlike LiPO batteries.
Tesla is the new young people’s lambo or Ferrari, welcome to the Tesla Family!! 😁😁
Don't be ridiculous
I’m sorry, what?
Thank you for sharing your journey and being so germane young brother. Truly inspiring and I wish you much more success than just that Model 3. I'm a Model Y owner for about a month as well. Enjoy it. You deserve it. Stay humble and keep grinding!!! 💯
@@MrHotep75 thank you! Have fun with yours.
Really dope video man. Wishing you nothing but the best and you right, it’s Gods plan! I got my dream car in Feb 2024 model y and I love it. Glad you’re loving the Tesla so far. So funny to see you go thru the experience lol.
You didn’t even know how to turn it off lol. Stay safe my dude. #lakeshow
Thank you 🙏🏾😂
congrats bro!!! I just got my blue model 3 this week as well, just a heads-up u may need to charge it to 100% once a week. look and see if you have an LFP battery (Lithium iron phosphate) in the vehicle information in setting in the car. u can read more about the car the tablet has the user manual. The 80% charging rule applies to other models/trims. Standard range as I have read require 100%.
I’ll check that today!
its like buying an iPhone. You get addicted. My wife bought one and I was blown away. I sold my Dodge Charger and bought a Model 3 and I have zero regrets. So much technology.
@@losodinero literally!
can't wait I want the car version Tesla
congrats on getting a Tesla bro. I am looking to get one soon. just a quick tip try not to use supercharging alot
Actually false. Supercharged is fine
Congrats!!
@@DoughBoiVegan23 Thank you Doug!
Im not 100% sure but you might be able to charge your car to 100% cuz of the LFP battrey, also you should check if your work has chargers, if they have some it might be free to use
I’ll look into it. But the dealership told me to charge to 80%. I’ll look up some more advice doe. Thanks.
@@ronharrodjr LFP batteries can still experience degradation from charging to 100% regularly. Generally, you want to charge to 80% and charge it to 100% once a week for the battery calibration test that it runs to make sure it still reads an accurate percentage/miles of range.
Proud of you bro.
Thanks, man!
Congrats! Love Teslas too!
You gotta start doing accessory mods
My guy got a Tesla!!
Bro we bought the same tesla around the same time mines a 22 red model3 Gratz
@@mikeangel3444 that’s crazy 😭 congrats to you too.
I believe you have the standard range which you can charge to 100% (LFP Battery)
Are you getting the level 2 home charger installed? Or are you rocking with the mobile connector and super chargers? TMC 🏁🏁
Probably a mobile connector if possible
@@ronharrodjr you really should look into getting some kind of home charging. it's what makes owning an EV convenient. Not having to go to gas station or charging station multiple times a week. If you have a home charger, every morning you will have your 80%-100%, "full tank" and you won't have to plan around keeping the car charged...
@@Kareem-cx4fi it’s not possible at my current apartment sadly
The whole thing about doing the process online only . No hidden fees . No one trying to con you. I wish all dealerships did buisness this way . I hate the dealership experience . The whole lot of them , a bunch of crooks . My in laws went to buy a new vehicle . I told them they needed me to go with them (i know every trick and con a dealership will try) we get to a dealership and i tell the guy NOT to try anything with my in laws . The very first thing he did was try to con my in laws . He came back with an outrageous payment . My Inlaws have a credit score of just under 800. Because of that they tried to get away with telling them a high payment . I asked the salesman what the percentage rate they came up with (he refused to tell me) so i broke out a finance calculator (he suddenly got a shocked look on his face) i did the math and it worked out to 12% interest rate . I told him to take a hike . He went back , came back with 4% (this time he told us the rate) . At this point i want nothing to do with a dealership . Told him i wanted nothing to do with lying con’s and i left with my in laws .
Seriously all dealerships should do the selling process just like tesla . Get rid of all salesman and the thieving hidden fee’s.
When i went to buy my vehicle i as well said right up front (don’t bother trying to con me or even mention hidden fees) sure enough there was a fine print , hidden $3000 add on . Told them to take a flying leap . They stuttered when trying to tell em what the $3000 even was for . If it was not for the fact the vehicle was the only one i wanted in the exact color i wanted i would have walked right out . I did head for the door and suddenly the $3000 add on suddenly disappeared . There needs to be laws against how dealerships do buisness !!!!
Best comment ever. Dealership stole my $500 deposit. Lied to my face about being refundable
Congrats man.
Thank you!

You are 🔥proud of you💕
Congratulations man. You got a sub from me! I’m looking into getting the exact same M3 as you! I do have a question. Does your complex have their own charging station or do you have to travel to one for daily /weekly commute? Only asking because my complex dosent but there are plenty chargers in my near area. So that’s what’s keeping me from pulling the trigger right now. Keep up the good content man!
@@shawnwright1480 I have to travel to charge the car but it would be wayyyyy better if my apartment had a charger.
moving to tesla from that Toyota would feel like moving from WW2 fighter plan to F-35 fighter jet
Nepphie gets a Tessie!!!!!!
how many miles was on your car when you first got it?
11k
@@ronharrodjr oh wow very low!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Congratulations on the car. I want to do this, but it may come down to insurance.
Congrats
Congrats. Enjoy your EV, breh.
I just bought the model Y a few weeks ago I feel like I’m driving in $100,000 vehicle
WAY TO GO CONGRATULATIONS.
I thought about getting one, but i heard the insurance taxes you bad if you drive at night. And i work at nights. gg's to me i guess.
Don’t get insurance through Tesla. I have mine through State Farm. I pay about 250 and this is my first time having my own insurance. You can probably do better than that.
@@ronharrodjr oooooooooh, im trippin. Bout to schedule a test drive and then order this mf. Tired of regular cars
Don’t understand the hype on the car
People love Elon and looking like they have money as well
Tesla's are easily the most technologically advanced cars on the market. They are flawed, but any techy will love the car.
The tech inside , saves tons of money by not buying gas , brake pad last 5-7years , no major maintenance so Ev's save you tons of money , but the model 3 isn't the best looking ev though.
Congrats on getting your first Tesla! I got a Tesla Model 3 almost 4 years ago (I have a Model S now), and I was just as hyped as you bruh! Mad fun car all around, so definitely enjoy it the fullest! Also, if you get the chance, definitely customize it to make it your own! Especially tinted windows for sure! That Texas weather is no joke LOL!
Man, I def have to customize it lol! I appreciate you watching and commenting on the vlog.
Nice to see good people getting good things
@@TonyMiguel-ko7cz thanks man!
congrats!
Thank you!
I just bought the model Y a few weeks ago I feel like I’m driving in $100,000 vehicle. I know exactly how he feels.
What year you got ? I just found a 2021 model y with only 24,855 miles going for 33,100 I might get it
Tesla tech is great but feels cheap inside
Buying a used EV is financially risky but Congrats! I drove a model Y earlier this year for a whole week with Full Self Drive and I was blown away!
Congratulations 🥳 well deserved. 🚀
Thank you!
technologically advanced is what you meant to say 😆 close
Congratulations 🎉🍾🎊
Congrats!!!
Thank you.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why don’t u just charge ur car at home when ur sleeping. That’s what I do and never have any issues
Everyone doesn’t have a home charger.
use autopilot in heavy traffic jams, it helps
Congrats bruh!
How is it without home charging , I want one one put ppl clown me for not owing house for home charging
Supercharging is much more expensive than home charging. If you can't at the very least charge off 110 AC overnight, seriously, don't buy an EV.
When you are charging it do you have to pay for it like you do with gas?
So, you charge it then once it done it automatically charges your card. The lowest I’ve payed is $5 and the most is $16
How far are you from the charging station? 200 miles isn’t a lot of range. Especially in the winter. I would recommend a mobile charger at least. The goal would be to get a home w/ lvl 2
