I'm new to all of this and was told about the tire gluing. Watched a video about it and did it myself. I took my car to one practice and by the end of it the glue was gone. Does this also happen during your races with the glue you're using? If so, doesn't that change the way the car feels throughout the race?

I usually use Hot Race thin CA tire glue or AKA tire glue. Both will work well and will last several runs without the need for re-gluing. The glue won't last forever, but you should not need to re-glue that often. Every 5 runs or so!

Thanks for the tutorial! Never thought about using the Ca accelerator in this way.
Is that something I should do for GT12 on EU carpet?

I'm glad that you liked the video!
No, this won't be necessary on EU carpet!

On black carpet, what class does this become useful from? Should I do this in stock 17.5 at all? and how often do I have to redo it during a race?

For any class racing on CRC Black Carpet, including 17.5T TC Stock. You don't really have to re-do the glue, but watch out for peeling of the front tires (the rubber separating from the wheel) - that you will need to check every 2 runs or so.

Anyone know where to find such a spinner machine? or any equivalent? Internet search seems to suggest these are no longer available? Much Thanks!

@@hagberg Thanks Alex! Just ordered! I put my 2023 solid Aluminum X4 on the track for the first time after a 10 year hiatus from the hobby. The local track is black CRC high grip carpet and I'm using the recommended XRAY black carpet high grip setup but with 21.5 Blinky. There's a high speed sweeper at the end of the straight and sure enough, major traction roll issue even though the car setup is for max stiffness everywhere. I'm really hoping glueing the front tire sidewalls (jaco blues) will do the trick unless you know of any other suggestions? Thanks again Alex!!

@@michaelhavlena923 what setup do you have on the car! Taking flex out is not the answer - this will in fact make the car more initially aggressive, which will lead to increased traction rolling!

@@hagberg I'm using the "basic for US black carpet" setup as found online, so as stiff as it could be...Much Thanks Alex!...;)
