The Impromptus remind me a bit of Beethoven's Bagatelles, same kind of experimentation with harmony and rhythm. And as Vorisek was close friends with Schubert you can't tell who influenced who.
Since I m playing some impromptus by Schubert, I was looking on Wikipedia for some info about these beatiful pieces and I found out that Vorisek inspired Schubert, at least in the name of Impromptu for a piano piece. Thanks for uploading this unknown charming piano pieces! But in the end I prefer Schubert, like I prefer the Chopin nocturnes over those of the inventor John Field. But still a nice musical discovery this Vorisek!:)
Absolutely charming! These pieces contain a great deal wit - something the performances didn’t capture enough. As someone who has studied such things from an historical perspective, they needed to be far more articulate. If I get a hold on them, expect varied reprises as well.
Many recordings of lesser known composers I've noticed seem to get phoned in unfortunately. I've heard it with symphonies, String Quartets, and piano music, and it's very unfortunate.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for publishing this unknown 'treasure'. It goes straight into my 'teaching material' file! And a huge BRAVO to Artur Pizarro for his superb interpretation.
Dommage que ce compositeur soit un quasi inconnu. C'est la première fois que j'entends ces morceaux. Je trouve ça au moins aussi bien que du Schubert ou du Beethoven.
Vorisek was so gifted. Thank you for the download. ❤❤

Such beautiful, colourful music! No. 2 is my favourite, no. 3 reminds me in places of Medtner. Haven't listened to the rest yet!
Thanks for uploading!
It's all about Impromptu No 4
Agree. Could be one of Mendelssohns Lieder ohne Worte.
WONDERFUL !!!!!
Thank you very much dear Bartje !
I must commend you for the correct name written in the Czech language.
Who is pianist?
+Ria Brezova Thank you Ria! The pianist is Artur Pizarro.
Bartje Bartmans Thank you and have a nice day 1
Cool. These are actually rather good.
I would say *very, very, VERY good* rather than *rather*...

At least as good as Schubert or beethoven? Chacun a son gout.
No. 4 sounds like Schubert
The open statement skips over Schubert and goes straight to Schumann. The triplets and it being melodic definitely give it Schubertian vibes.
