Welcome back, Nisha. Already made this salad last summer (several times) and repeated it this summer for a non-vegan bbq, together with your salted caramel chocolate tart. Everyone at the bbq was amazed! This salad is much much better than the mayonnaise one. It lasts for several days in the fridge, so great for lunch boxes. Thank you again for amazing recipes!
Hi Nisha, I made this for a family July 4th potluck (I'm the only vegan) and everyone loved it! Definitely the best potato salad I've ever had and it sure beats using vegan mayo. I love this recipe! I had all the ingredients on hand except for the jalapeno and dill. I have a baby mouth anyway so no big deal on the jalapeno. But I also had a bunch of cilantro I needed to use. It turned out to be a great swap along with a little sprinkle of some chipotle seasoning that I had. I can definitely see remixing this in a few other ways, but I’m excited to try it as written the next time I have fresh dill. The tahini yogurt base is fantastic. I used Forager cashew yogurt and it was fantastic.

I tried your recipe and loved it. I am vegan and I hated the bacon cheese mayonnaise stuff proffered by American friends in all good faith. My Godmother was the only person I ever met who was actually born in Monte Carlo and an amazing cook. Here is a French light alternative: yes start with the right potatoes but slice them thinly and keep an eye on them because I think they take on my stove about 7 minutes. Slice with a mandolin if you have one, one green apple and red onion to taste. The other ingredients besides salt and pepper are a superb olive oil (my current favorites are one from Turkey and the other from Portugal because they actually taste like olives and are fresh and not terribly expensive). Auntie Choupie uses white wine vinegar. Toss gently and refrigerate for a couple of hours. I bring this stuff round to picnics along with my vegan spanakopita ... no-one gets it's vegan and disappears toute de suite!!!! Love your channel!!!!

This is so interesting! I don't like using vegan mayo because something about it just seems really processed to me and not enjoyable. I usually make my own vegan mayo if I ever want any but sometimes can't be bothered lol so the yoghurt and tahini base for potato salad or even pasta salad sounds so good (and convenient)
I don’t mind vegan mayo when it’s necessary but I love finding alternatives when they’re just as tasty (or even better!), and this yogurt tahini base is just soooo good! Also I can’t be bothered making my own mayo either lol.

This looks good. I use tahini in salad dressings often. I usually add green beans to the mix. I have a suggestion for you though. If they're in season, skip the capers and add sea asparagus. Give the sea asparagus a quick blanch so they're not quite so salter.

Oh my word! I made this last night and as usual, Nisha does not disappoint!! It is so yummy and creamy. I was nervous about the coconut yogurt (Not a fan of coconut flavored things) but I went out and bought some anyway and it turned out just as described in her video. It was a flavourful dressing without tasting anything like coconut. I ended up having not quite as many potatoes as needed for the recipe so I saved some of that dressing to dip my cucumber slices in today. Yum!
One: I missed you so so much! Two: I love potato salad and have a few favourites recipes (yogurt+lemon+herbs and mustard vinaigrette+dill) but your sauce combines everything I appreciate in both which is just perfect! Oh my word! I made this last night and as usual, Nisha does not disappoint!! It is so yummy and creamy. I was nervous about the coconut yogurt (Not a fan of coconut flavored things) but I went out and bought some anyway and it turned out just as described in her video. It was a flavourful dressing without tasting anything like coconut. I ended up having not quite as many potatoes as needed for the recipe so I saved some of that dressing to dip my cucumber slices in today. Yum!

Two: I love potato salad and have a few favourites recipes (yogurt+lemon+herbs and mustard vinaigrette+dill) but your sauce combines everything I appreciate in both which is just perfect! Truly an ideal combination of flavours and textures - I definitely have to try this!
