  • Pokémon Legends Arceus has been out for a week now and I've been having an absolute blast. Of course, one of the best things about any new Pokémon game HAS to be the NEW POKEMON that come along with and, in recent years, the new forms! So today, I'm going to be giving you my ranking of EVERY Hisuian Form from Worst To Best! Be sure to be on the look out for my follow up of my opinion on every new Pokémon as that's coming real soon!

Also, why can’t we ever get an icy area early in Pokémon games? I love ice types and would love to use some of them for longer than I usually get to

You mention getting things too late in the game, but this has been the pokemon game where my team has changed the MOST from early to late, in part due to being able to find high level alpha forms of cool pokemon like Goodra, Garchomp, Gardevoir/Gallade. I think the only pokemon that hasn't changed on my team from the first region is Infernape (but it kind of did when I found the alpha version at a higher level). Really enjoying this game because it has allowed me to have more team variety without having to grind levels as much.

My one complaint about Hisuian Goodra is it doesn't learn Flash Cannon. I would also wager that Hisuian Decidueye is better than Samurott because the Fighting type absolutely dominates in Hisui and Decidueye learns better and more accurate moves for its typing. Leaf Blade, Triple Arrows, Brave Bird, and Shadow Claw tears through basically any boss in the game. I will say Oshawott is very useful for Kleavor but you can easily counter that by catching a Buizel very early in the game. Decidueye just does more irreplaceable things than the other two starters.

An earlier ice area in a Pokémon game one day would be cool. The only Pokémon I swapped in very very late to my team were the other two starters you get in post game. Easy enough to train them up quickly, both are almost level 100 like the rest of my team now

Ursaluna not being on this list at all is crazy! Sure the evolution is annoying, but you can get it by the second area. It has amazing stats and thanks to the normal typing gives it access to great coverage moves. Its 140 base attack and it having bulk up, high horsepower, ice punch, and giga impact / double edge making this bear a crazy anchor on my team!

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking here, but Zisu in Jubilife Village is the Move Tutor in this game, and you can pay her pokedollars to teach your pokemon moves. The moves available depend on your Star Rank.
Edit: You need to have a Seed of Mastery in your inventory when you ask her to master moves for your pokemon. A pokemon will never master a move tutor move to be able to use it in the agile/strong style unless you do this. Seeds of Mastery are fairly easy to get once you're able to face off against Alpha pokemon though, they tend to drop them.

Lots of bias on Typhlosion. Raised it up despite it’s lacking movepool, but held Bravairy down because it doesn’t have an answer to Rock types.
I used a Braviary on my L:A team, and it’s kinda like a pseudo-tank (That can still hit pretty hard) if you can get a Bulk Up off, then hit the enemy with Mystical Fire. With Agile style being a thing, you can pull that off quite often actually
It’s lacking in speed, true. But that’s when Esper Wing comes into play, it raises your action speed so even though you have a base 65 speed, you’ll still have moments where you can attack twice with Esper Wing

    1) these move pools aren’t the final movepools these Pokémon will have 2) you have to factor how these Pokémon will operate in battle
Like I mentioned in my last comment typhlosion basically would function like it used to choice scarf + sun + eruption… coverage solar beam, focus blast…. Now it trades a bit of speed for more power + a secondary stab in ghost…. No single type resist both stabs… flash fire also gives it 3 immunities in fire, normal and fighting so it can switch in a lot easier than other starters who have a plethora of weaknesses…..
decidueye is too slow to function outside of trick room and it’s 4x weakness is easily exploitable with the flying type being super common…..
