Matchbox restoration Ford G.T. Nr 41. Diecast car. Superfast and regular wheels

To get subtitles click C. The Ford GT was produced by Lesney from 1965 to 1971. At that time, the manufacturer changed his wheels to the superfast version, and the color from white to metallic brown. For my Superfast car, I had to make new axles and wheels. However, in the older version from 1965, I made new tires. I equipped both cars with resin windows, as the original ones could not be restored. The only modification I made in relation to the production version was to put a sticker on a newer model on a transparent backing. I also showed two types of boxes that have been made by the manufacturer over the years.

Great work and then even both models. If I am honest, I like the old version with the normal wheels even better. But of course the elaborate paintwork on the Superfast model has a real kick. Well done mate, clearly a thumbs up for it 👍🏼

Super Arbeit und dann sogar beide Modelle. Wenn ich ehrlich bin, gefällt mir die alte Version mit den normalen Rädern sogar noch besser. Aber die aufwendige Lackierung des Superfastmodells hat natürlich richtig was. Gut gemacht mein Freund, ganz klar ein Daumen hoch dafür 👍🏼

An interesting comparison Paul.👍 This was one of the cars which actually looked pretty good with Superfast wheels. Another difference between some cars, many of the Superfast versions hade enlarged wheel arches to fit wider wheels. I believe they called that colour Bronze, it rather suits the car.😁

Excellent resto paul the superfast ford gt was an unusual white with wide superfast wheels the regular wheels version there are some rare versions white with red wheels a yellow version in regular wheels and there is a white version with wire wheels the same as the ones on the ferrari berlinetta

Super restorations! I have a bronze red Superfast - with a yellow baseplate. The Regular wheels version, Matchbox could have fitted the wire wheels: like the Jaguar E type, and Ferrari. Would have looked better on the model than the yellow tractor wheels. I feel Matchbox missed out there with the wheel choice.

Eu nasci em 1965 Paul, e ainda cheguei a alcançar alguns modelos desse fabricante de brinquedo.
Eu possuo um Renault 5 TL na cor prata modelo SuperFast com data de fabricacao de 1978 portanto com uma data bem alem da que voçe informa que o catalogo foi que é 1971. fica ai a informaçao.

Uwielbiam twoje filmy. Czy mógłbyś gdzieś podać sprzęt jaki używasz? Parametry śrubek, gwintownika, wiertła, podkład... Mam kilka Matchboxów i mam wielką ochotę się za nie zabrać, a dobrym majsterkowiczem nie jestem.

Dziękuję serdecznie. Już ci odpowiadam na wszystko, ale po kolei. Używam wiertarki akumulatorowej Bosch Professional. Nity rozwiercam w zależności od szerokości wiertłem 3,5 lub 4 mm. Następnie w środku nitu wiercę wiertłem 1,6 mm. Używam gwintownika M2 od razu ostatniego ponieważ stop znal jest bardzo miękkim metalem. śrubki które używam Są na torx o długości 5 mm. Po wyczyszczeniu nadwozia używam farby podkładowej epoksydowej. Jest ona antykorozyjna i ładnie grubo kryje. Na to po wyschnięciu nakładam farbę samochodową akrylową bazową. Po wyschnięciu robi się matowa a na nią kładę lakier bezbarwny akrylowy samochodowy z utwardzaczem. Wszystko wykonuję aerografem marki hobby. Jeśli chodzi o czyszczenie szyb to używam papieru ściernego od 1200 do 3000, szyby poleruję pastą Sonax lub używam nabłyszczacza gauzy agent. To tak pokrótce proces robienia nadwozia. Pozdrawiam serdecznie

This machine heats steel Superfast axles. It is made by me, it melts the ends of the metal and creates mushrooms so that the wheels do not fall off. I am sending you the link to the video
