Il y a 20 ans de cela dans les Alpes du Sud, sur la piste entre Vignols et Roubion, un GMC avec double-remorque et chargement de grumes d'épicéas et de mélèzes prenait régulièrement ce genre de risque avec en certains endroits des barres d'une centaine de mètres et plusieurs fois les doubles-roues étaient de plusieurs cm dans le vide ... C'était avant l'hélico ...

+big500 Some places they don't have modern logging system to cut and carry logs from top of mountain . I am against cutting trees and we can replace most of tree usage with synthetic materials. But if we need to cut them, then life of human is more valuable than some logs. The truck by itself is more valuable than most of those trees but again, no choice.

There is not much more risk than driving on a highway or anywhere else. I loved this work when I was a little younger - there are a lot of advantages!
Who cares about the workers in a nuclear power plant ? Do they really have less risk to lose there health? I preferred to fall down a mountain together with 30 tons of wood than dieing hard a very long time by loosing teeth and hair.
Kamikaze missions like this one should be forbidden ...

this is what happen when drivers are paid by ton of wood transported over the distance travelled....the more moved the more they get paid.
This happens when illegal logging is taking place. They are crossing the most difficult paths in order to skip controls!!!!!!
