Very nicely done! I've seen several and yours is brief and to the point! I FINALLY split one after trying several other videos, this is the first I've had success with. Thank you so much!
Yes I meant without cutting/splitting a design in the middle. Will see your suggestions by zooming in, to see if I see the tabs, would be nice to be able to do larger designs without buying another machine since I'm liking my machine very much. Thanks for responding so fast, I'll subscribe for further tutorials they do help, thanks!!!
Like your tutorial, glad you made one with a design. This only works when you don't cut the threads?. I've trying to do this with a bigger hoop for my se400 to reposition without rehooping, I don't see the position tabs on the side on screen, I'm using the trial software, alit confused.
+michele alves I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. The trial software shouldn't be any different than the regular software. Sometimes when you load the hoop, you have to zoom out a bit to see the position tabs on the side of the hoop. Try that and see if it works. What do you mean "when you don't cut the threads?" Do you mean when you don't split the design in the middle of a sewn section? This works best if you don't have to cut the threads because when you move the hoop, you don't have to be so precise about lining things up. I did a design where I cut the threads and the first time I stitched it out, it didn't line up exactly and there was a big break in the design when I moved the hoop. Not saying it can't be done, I have done it (Second time on that design was the charm and you can't tell at all that it was a split design) but it takes a lot more care in positioning.
I am trying to follow along but I’m very new to machine embroidery. My confusion at the moment is when you show your design it looks like it fits in the hoop area (The rectangle with grids) when I look at my design the hoop is smaller. I am having to use a 5x7 hoop.
I am trying to learn how to use the anchor points in SWP. I do not understand how to make them be in both pieces after I have split the design. I am taking a class with craftsy but they are using a different software. I don't want to buy another software. Is there a video teaching how to use them?
Editing Essentials Splitting and aligning designs. I want to be able to take a bigger design than my hoops will hold, split them and then be able to align them and stitch them out for a big design. Does that make sense? When I try to add the anchor points they only show on one part of the split design. I have tried several things and still can't get them to go on both parts so the pieces can be put back together and stitched out.
okay got it. yes, I will try to do a video with that. you can do that in SWP. it creates two X anchor points, but they are right on top of each other so it's hard to tell. in the color menu you will Ctrl+click to select all the color blocks that need to be moved, including one if the X. it will take me a bit too make a video because I'm quite busy this weekend but I'll try to show you as soon as possible. yes, it can be done in SWP.
Thank you so much, I have been trying every thing I can think of and as of yet have not been successful. I am so thankful to find someone who understands what I have been asking. I have gotten buy new software, sorry that's not in the budget. I have gotten buy a bigger hoop, that is not possible right now either. I have been using sew what pro for a while and really like it, this is the first thing I have not been able to figure out. I have watched videos and read until my eyes hurt and my nerves are on edge because I know the answer is out there I just can't find it. Again thank you so much.
I watched many videos and yours was the only one that made sense. Thank you!

Great vid! Thanks sew much for clear n concise info. I’m subbing so I don’t miss any of your vids. I have a PE770.
Thank you so much! You made this so easy to understand.
Thank you so much for the lesson!! I really appreciate it! There are no digitizing classes out there!!

+michele alves Well that's encouraging. I'll try to do some more.

I'll see if I can get some time to show how to use the anchor points. which craftsy class and what are you trying to do?
