are you kidding me!? You have changed my life!! My husband just got to see me do the happy dance!! I have been sad that I couldn't do these longer/bigger designs....and I had everything I needed all along! THANK YOU!!
Thank you So so so much!! This tutorial saved me! I had been working on a project for hours and could not past get a certain spot until you explained it in simple terms!! I cant thank you enough!! Thank you for this tutorial!!
Hi Candida. Great video. Just having trouble getting the screen section on the right that has the colors. Where or how do i get it to come up? Mine still is showing the font choices. Thanks!
Mary Guerre Just click on the little folder icon at the top - the same one you clicked to show the alphabet. When you click on it, it "turns off" the letters on the right and it goes back to the color stop list.
I need to move 1 part of my design like you moved the "C". Can you explain to me how you did it? I've watched that part of your video 5 times and I can't get it to move up or down. This one little swirl is in between stuff for frame 1 and stuff for frame 2. I tried moving other parts of frame 1 up and that doesn't do anything either! Please help! I've had the repositional hoop several months and have only used it to do 2 smock patterns on towels with initials in between. I'd love to split some stuff!
Hello, I am writing from Turkey. We do not have an embroidery pattern drawing video here as clearly and clearly as you. Could you please help me with this embroidery drawing or send me the link of this embroidery drawing program, thank you very much.
I am so frustrated! I used this awesome tutorial to split a design last week and it was perfect. I went back in today to re-watch and take notes this time :) When I went into SWP to follow those steps, I was never able to SHIFT click to select my letters to color them. Also, when I click int he works area-it is treating the name as all one and not the letters individually. What happened?
Hi Candida, I'm in need for your help please!!!! I'm trying to do every step to your caroline video but when I save the file it gives me the message: The following color blocks must be cut: 1. Please help me I'm so stressed out and you're the only on here that explains details. Thanks in advance.
Barbara - I have a tutorial on how to bring letters into your design that you may want to check out. th-cam.com/video/04qoWTZ0-q4/w-d-xo.html. In the Caroline video, I had the wrong C initially and ended up having to replace it after the other letters were in. That's why it showed up as the last color stop (and then I moved it up). Hope this helps. :)
I have done exactly what your tutorial states and when I save the file and place my usb in my machine and open the file up on the machine it is coming up a bigger size than what was set up. ex. file is a 9.5 x 2. the first letters in P1 after saving and opening up in my machine are a 4.25 x 6.9. (these are aprox. measurements), P2 are coming up as about the same 4.25 x 6.9 (not exact), and P3 is just 1 letter and it would almost fit a whole 5x7. why is it doing this. I cant get it also to save as just P1 and P3. I am new and confused.
Becky - SWP does funny things when it saves a split file. It adds blank space around your design so that you don't accidentally move your needle. It needs that blank space to align itself, so to speak. If you bring P1, P2 and P3 (or just 1 and 3 depending on how many pieces you saved), it'll stitch them in the perfect position. Hope this makes sense!
Each section P1 n P2 n P3 when opened on the machine r all almost the size of a whole 5x7. Even the 1 last letter in P3 is the size of a 5x7. I've tried a couple different times n the same thing keeps happening. I know it's proly me doing something wrong cuz I'm still new at this
You're not doing anything wrong. SWP adds blank space around your design so that your machine stitches it correctly. I'm assuming you can use a 5x12 hoop in your machine, right? Which machine do you have? If you want you can hoop a double layer of stabilizer and test your split pattern.
Becky - I just checked my split files. They're all very close to 5x7 - even if there's only one letter in them. SWP needs it to be like that so that the pieces line up correctly. :)
The only thing you need to do is to select a multi-position hoop in SWP (for example, 5x12). Once you select a multi hoop, SWP knows that it needs to save the file in parts. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much. Your explanation was succinct.
I want to do appliqués on a repositioning hoop but I don’t kno where to start
Do you have any tips on doing an actual design in a repositional hoop and not just fonts? Jw

Hit control to select the letters to color. If it's treating the word as one file, did you join threads?
Candida Wolfram where do you get the software? I need the disc
I bought it from sandscomputing.com Outstanding customer service. They are the creators of SWP.
thanks

Ok, so my question is how do you get into this working mode in SWP in order to create this file?

Perfect, yes thank you so much!!
