Le Mans „expert“ here. All old GR1 work really well. 3.49-3.51 pace. Lowest front wing, highest rear wing -50 balance and lowest ride height. (R92, 787B, Jag Xj12 and C9) GTR GR.B with GT3 suspension setting was quite ok as well. Way faster but more thirsty on fuel. Top pace 3.44 for me.
With the new update, the recommended settings are OP. To compensate, I turn the ECU to minimum setting to get 699. It's a different race now, though. At Le Mans I don't pass the last cars until after pitting. I have to refresh tyres at the end of lap3 because they wear quicker for me, but I don't refuel. Fuel strat 3 will take you to the lead, and after that, strat 3 or 4 should easily see you to the end of the race, depending on your driving. It takes longer to get through the pack, but you can still win with all the opposition a lap down. Thanks for the original information. Favourite emoji is smiley face. 😃
Also a pretty significant tip with this car: shift at around 50-60% across the rev bar. You get more power out of the car this way, therefor accelerating at a faster rate. It always bugs the crap out of me when people don't short shift with this with this car because you're missing so much potential with the lack of power.
Nvm, it feels more like 80% across. I knew the 908 had a rather unique shifting point. I knew it was ~60% for the maxed out Peugeot 908 in GT Sport but could be different in this situation since it's with a normal turbo with a stock transmission. Don't use 6th for the Sardegna event. Still got a low 1:34 shifting at 60% though and was at 1 fuel mix for majority of the race
Got a 1:34.3 lap time and a 24:30 total time at the Sardegna event with this setup I made, feels much better and it's faster (especially when trail braking) than the one showcased in the video: Suspension: Ride Height: 60 / 90 Roll Bars: 10 / 10 Damping (Compression): 20 / 40 Damping (Expansion): 50 / 50 Natural Frequency: 3.50 / 4.25 Camber: 1.3 / 1.5 Toe Angle: 0.00 / 0.00 Diff: Torque: 5 Accel: 5 Braking: 5 Brakes: Brake Balance: +5 All the other settings and parts are the same as in the video. I also was fuel map 1 the whole way aside from fuel mapping 2 for about 40% of the first stint. I shift about 70-80% across the rev bar and pit at the end of lap 8. I don't change tires and refuel all the way so I can go full boar with the fuel mix for the rest of the race. It only takes like 2 more seconds to fill the tank all the way compared to filling the tank just enough for the fuel mix you were using but you'll shave that off and more on the track going full out on the second stint.
I use to race with the Suzuki Pikes Peak at Sardegna and take little bit under 25 minutes to finish it. It’s the best money/time i’ve found at the game.

Just tuned the LM55 GR1 version and it’s a little quicker however you have to set to fuel map 4 first half (pit end of lap 8) then map 3 then 2 so a little more involved in regards of fuel map as the normal VGT is fuel map 1 the pit stop lap 6 then just 1 again (single lap I got(gr1) 1:32 and 1:34s (normal VGT) doesn’t really matter it makes up 30 seconds a race overall for me, I just love how easy it is to drive
Why not tune it on racing hards? Also if you get the racing transmission you can adjust the top speed and final drive to get increased fuel savings and less rear tire wear
@@chunkyribena yeah, that's why I add the weight to compensate. Not slagging on your setup by any means, was just curious, it's definitely less expensive and more powerful than my build LoL. Cool channel, thanks for uploading your content.
I use the Bugatti gr1 car almost everywhere... i only tune the gears 2 fit a track (long 7th gear for fuel saving (no red revs for long straight, or it will slurp the fuel) and slipstream). And for the pp, i play with the ballast, power, aero and turbo (no turbo select for 800). 2 match the pp. Hard tires and short shift 2 save fuel. Easy on hard mode and win by 20+ seconds 800 and 900+ pp.
Did you check out the sports tires? Those will lower PP rating, and won't ware out. They'll also handle wet weather nicely. Just an idea that might be worth looking into. Sport soft tires should be good for nearly the entire race.
