These Dragon Ball box sets are definitely towards the top of my list to buy. I remember watching Dragon Ball Z on Cartoon Network when I was a kid and I never finished it. I loved it but the amount of filler in the episodes began to get to me. I hear the Manga series doesn’t have the same problem.
Manga is the original content and the reasons of the filler is caught in withnthe manga itself
You can always watch dragon ball z kai. It’s the show but re-edit to cut a lot of the filler. And new voice for a couple of characters like freiza Gohan , and bulma. I personally like these a lot more.
I decided to treat myself and buy the DBZ box set. It just arrived today, and MAN - it looks so nice ❤️ while I have loved DBZ for as long as I can remember, I have never read the manga. Now I have no excuse 🤣😂 And this is the first manga box set I have ever purchased.
10:46 to be fair the Japanese volumes didn't use the Anime logo either. The "og" logo was blue.

I recently got the Dragon Ball boxset and the dragon Ball Z box set together and it feels so nice to have these classics.
I realised i never fully read or watched the whole dragon ball saga besides the iconic moments so after keeping up with super i'm ready to get into it more deeply.
How many chapters does dragon ball go & how many is dragon ball z ?

I think the spines look really nice with the updated SJ & Viz logos. If more older series got reprinted in box sets with the new logos I think it would be very cool (like YYH & Slam Dunk) - Jerry

Dragon ball z Budokai 3 for the PS2. It was childhood. I played it everyday after school growing up and it was one of the two games that got me into gaming. It was this game and kingdom hearts. So itll always have a very special place in my heart
Raging blast 2 is prolly my favorite game. Great characters. I like the mechanics. The ‘camera view’ is amazing. Game flows so nice. Great game modes.

if you didnt know the number on the DBZ front covers is the continuation numbers from dragonball. something I noticed when I bought both my sets
I personally love dbz kakarot and db xenoverse 2. i love how kakarot goes through the whole story of Drago Ball Z and I love the cinematics. I love dbx2 because of the customization options and all the different ability customizations

My favorite Dragon Ball game as a child was either Tenkaichi 3 or Budokai 3... as an adult it's definitely Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Why? Tenkaichi 3 had soooo many characters and made you feel like you were playing the anime at the time lol... Budokai 3 was nostalgic with the story mode.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently everything I've wanted a DBZ game to be... a real competitive or casual fighting game with art and animation almost identical to the anime, with a unique story mode.
Tenkaichi 3, also sweet vid! Getting mine soon.
Xenoverse 2, I love the combat and all the rpg elements are awesome to mess around with. Playing with my friends in coop is great too

Also on the DBZ manga covers you can see the proper Volume number (last one is Volume 42) as it continues from the original Dragonball manga

Great video, bruh! That wasn’t Gohan on the side shooting the Kamehameha Wave. That was Goku and Vegeta fused forming Vegito. I finally pulled the trigger and got both the Dragon Ball and Z box sets as soon as I heard Akira Toriyama passed. I’ve been wanting to get them for years and I felt there was no better time than that. Been a fan since ‘97!

I have 2 DB games I love currently I love DBZ Kakorot due to it being a single player DB game reliving the story of DBZ and I love Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for the story and the DLC story they are still doing plus the DLC characters that have been adding and can't wait for Tenkiechi 4 to come out cause we all know that is gonna be a beast of a game :)

The Reason why the Kinto'un/Nimbus is pink is that in the Manga it was originally colored that.
I personally like kakarot because it just goes through the story soooo good and the fights are amazing

Fun fact: in Japan (and most localizations) it's all one Manga and the title never changed fronDB to DBZ.
About the booklet: I think it's inclusion here makes sense theoretically, because you could get caught up on Dragon Ball... but since I agree with you that most people who buy this set will probably also get the other one; it seems rather redundant

To be fair to the logo; the original Japanese manga was all one series. The chapters that became the “Dragon Ball Z” anime were still just “Dragon Ball” in the manga.

Lol SSJ3 ain't lit because it achieves NOTHING throughout the series overall and it has the weakest "triggering" scene for it

On Amazon I’m nervous when getting it I saw some reviews on Amazon some people got double of same book in box set thanks for review this is my first manga box set i will own., I may pass on dragonball manga box set I’m no big fan of dragon ball to dragonball z
