    God I hate inch measurements when it gets below half an inch, so much more complex than CM and MM. Good tutorial still

    • @samjsnz
      @samjsnz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      thinking the same thing. Metric just seems a lot easier. The only place for inches these days is for table top gaming

      Wtf is 7/16th????

    • @lewisbatten4684
      @lewisbatten4684 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thunder Duck
      7 16ths of an inch, so just under a half inch. I agree, at the point where your engineers rule is physically hard to read, surely its easier to us millimeters haha

    • @benterry28
      @benterry28 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I find metric is best for precise measurements for simplicity but imperial units feel more natural for giving a rough size to say something is a few inches or feet. cm and m feel too small and big for rough estimates

    • @zameliz
      @zameliz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@shenanigansone8172 I see what you did there XD
      On that note for US folks it's not actually Impreial measurement system but "US customary units" and the latter is actually derived from the metric system by applying a conversion on the top (and yes, it's stupid).

    From the top of where the braces need to be, its actually close to 5/16" , or 8mm. 7/16" is too low
