I remember before watching this there were friends telling me, be prepared cause this drama hurts real bad. I said it might not hurt that bad so I’ll give it a try. Damn.Its been a week and I’m still very depressed w/ the lack of closure and for Wang So 😤😭
This trailer is quite interesting, they show the funny side like it was a happy drama, the epic side like it was an inspirational drama, and show the dark side like it was all gothic and scary, not to mention the love side of the story lol, then when you finally watch it and you go through all kinds of emotions, but in the end, your heart gets broken. So what does it conclude? Was it a happy, gothic, love or sad drama.

I am a kdrama lover(esp historical) but this one is so heart breaking 😭. It makes me not wanting to watch anymore historical kdramas. Its sad that brothers kills brothers, even marriage within siblings is unimaginable(but of coarse this happened among royal families), the hunger for power, the dos and donts. Its just sad😢..but having season 2 is not a bad idea at all.
The most heartbreaking scene was when Prince Eun and his wife died, he thought that hiding behind his wife is a shameless thing to do and said "What can I do, Hae Soo? I am his awesome person now, I am all she has now". This scene literally gave me heartache. I cried so much after watching his bravery😭😭😭. One can see how much Prince Eun has changed from the pilot episode, how much mature he has become. WANG EUN & SOON DEOK💕✨

I've just finished watching this drama...so much pain ..I've cried a lot .still crying...
This is series is very disturbing . It has pain in every moment . Whoever the girl loved , they never loved her back in the same amount . 8th prince betrayed her because of his family . Then 4th prince after becoming the king he just said he would marry her but never did , instead married other 2 princess . He was so busy in his royal schedule he forgot her.
So ultimately it's the throne who is dangerous .
Why becoming king makes a men so powerful that he can save everyone, Everything but not his heart . Like after you become a king you cannot take decisions for your family , you cannot think for your own self . Eventually making them lonely .
I'm literally tearing up TT_TT, after seeing each episodes of this drama...this drama is masterpiece ❤..season 2 please🙏

Although it had a painful ending which I know most of us wanted a fantasy happy ending but it ended realistically it followed the story line of real history even if they started season 2 by making the king travel in time to met hea soo it will make the realness in this drama unrealistic and more like a fantasy romantic drama which is not what the story of this drama wants to give the audience.The writer wants the audience to remember it as real history and thats why it ended that way so its kind of understandable that they didn't do season 2 cause if they have done it there will be no beauty in the realness of this drama anymore. And till now people remember this drama and it is painful beautiful.

I liked this even if it was sad and ending abrupt. StIll worth it. Because the MOOD they managed to make!! "Joyful day to despairing night". I choose to look at it as an open ending.Because it is. The actor playing So is really goodlooking. With or without scar. Pity hes a bit of a sociopath.
Seriously what kind of ending was that..? You leave us with nothing.. Did the king travel time and meet her? Season 2 please or atleast 1 MORE EPISODE. you leave us in desperation.

I’m fine with sad endings but, when they leave you hanging it makes you so frustrated. Anyways, I do highly recommend this drama. Just be prepared.

Imo, Mr. Sunshine is a thousand times better than Moon Lovers in terms of… honestly, everything.
@@capabIeofIoves I agree completely on that. Also Dong Mae may be ruthless and feared like Wang So but at least he didn't forcefully kissed the female lead. That's one of the reasons why I prefer Mr. Sunshine much more, as consent matters. Mr. Sunshine is a much more mature drama, I doubt that people who are fans of Moon Lovers will immediately appreciate it. I watched ML when I was 15 and Mr. Sunshine when I was 17.

Plus it’s heavier on the historical side, while ML is essentially a romance story. I also agree that some ML fans would likely take longer time to take a liking to Mr. Sunshine.. but I do get the appeal for Moon Lovers, haha. And how’d you know I simp for Dong Mae? Great character
When I want to torture myself emotionally, I always go back to Moon Lovers T_T
I don't even know wether to recommend this drama to anyone, considering how it ends, recommending this feels like cruelty because of the pain this drama's ending inflicts upon us viewers. Honestly don't know what revenge the crew of this drama is taking upon the viewers by making such bloody painful ending, and then refusing a second season. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡. Please we beg you give us a second season 😭😭😭😭
