That triple is no joke :). Hitting it on your DH bike while casually riding the park is one thing, but hitting it on an enduro bike on the 5th stage of the day, 10+ minutes after smashing down the rocks of Top of the World is a different ball park.
Honestly one of my favorite Things to watch.. Seeing someone go from one level to next is awesome. I can't wait to hear race results. Adam all I can say is best of luck and I'm 100% rooting for you!! 🇺🇲on Rocky trails, there's "permanent rocks" and there's "temporary rocks" the later are dangerous! They don't gotta be big small, just laying there on, your line! hit it at, the wrong angle and slide-out. Debris from riders in front of ya. 👍ya got to miss them-

However : 1 - Yoann told you sometimes you need to slow down to go fast, and you are looking at jumping the triple at the end of the run into a narrow twisty bit to gain time, when most likely you could end up in a tree with a broken shoulder and out. 2 - Sam Hill told you "never the main line" but everything we saw was main line, in fact the last bit is totally mainline, taking the top rocky line. Top 50 realistically, top 20 amazing @pinkibe, by the way has anyone talked to Adam about breathing during an effort? does he know if he starts in apnea and then runs out of oxygen, or can adapt his breathing similar to when he is running?
RageForSeven you are right. Sending this triple in the end of the longest Stage of the whole season will be risky. Enduro isn't Downhill. The key to win is to ride constantly fast, not to risk everything at one Stage
well, i had predicted that a top 50 would be amazing (realistically)...Adam finished 55th overall, not surprising. in the race horse business they have a saying "you can't make a donkey a racing horse" and that's exactly why we can count on one hand the number of privateers, in their adulthood, who have made it to pros. Will there be improvements next season (if there is a next season)? Most likely, however not stratospheric ones for sure. If you do not win local races, what will deception and frustration of bigger failures on a bigger stage bring to the mix?

There are also portions of climbing in the stage and trust me it might look steep and tech but there is a lot of pedalling on the stage, it's incredibly challenging!!!
I think the middle line is faster there for sure. The left high line, you can hit the uphill pretty straight but then you have to turn to your right and scrub some speed before the rock roll-down... you do get exit speed but the right hander comes up so fast. Middle line you just no brake and put in a pedal stroke... and it's pretty straight.

There are also portions of climbing in the stage and trust me it might look steep and tech but there is a lot of pedalling on the stage, it's incredibly challenging!!!
