I like the way he’s incredibly grateful without coming across as a fanboy. He knows he belongs and is glad a team finally recognizes it. Welcome to Queens, Skip!
This guy is going to be a good manager. The hard part of a manager is when to take the pitcher out. I just hope the people above him let him manage and not making decisions on the field for him. Let him grow and let him learn when he makes a mistake. I know the Mets fan do not have patience.
for anyone who seen him manage in winter ball, they know he is the real deal. we miss him as manager in lara. maybe things would have been different if he was manager of the national team in the wbc this year
I'm pretty excited about Mendoza. He's not a clown like Calloway and he's not a bore like Rojas. I think that he's learned from Boone's mistakes and won't be in over his head.
It's going to be a good year I think. Trust is a big issue and it's been missing over the last decade between the front office and the folks in the dugout and the field. Looking forward to the new "culture".
INJURIES ALWAYS PREVAIL EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS HAPPY AND OPTIMISTIC ALL SMILES IN THE OFF SEASON WE WILL SEE TEMPER THE ENTHUSIASM JUST YET LONG WAY TO GO FOR THIS GUY
Welcome to our new Manager: David Sterns! He got his "yes man". Sterns will be writing the line up daily and calling down to the dugout for pitching changes. Good luck David!
One of the many elements Mendoza brings is he’s not afraid to push back on the front office, he’s open minded, but he’s the furthest we’ve had from a “yes man” in many years. I recommend you read Aaron Boones comments on him a few days ago after Mendoza got the job. He’s well respected around the league, endorsed by both management and players, there’s a reason so many teams wanted him, he’s got a baseball mind and works with BOTH analytics and feel for the game. Yea he’s a first time manager, but every manager in the league were once first timers, and Carlos has done the work required to get a shot.
Brian Cashman had marvelous things to say about Billy Eppler, remember? It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Yankees enjoy trolling the Mets by recommending guys who may not work out. @@GrizzlyClanProductions
@@GrizzlyClanProductions even Howie Rose said: whatever you hear that the front office will not be controlling everything is not going to be true. Mendoza is just a puppet
@@Chiroman527 Absolutely, why not? I’d of brought back Beltran before this guy. Just stop with the rookie Managers already especially with Yankee connections.

I like it. We need more hispanic players also. Think how good the Mets are now with these great ballplayers.

Pay him more! Mad dog said Carlos was his Uber driver last night in Manhattan. No joke.
His son is on my team
Stearns wanted a first time manager so he can control him and he knew Buck would be too hardheaded to let him do that
Lead the team to the Promise Land
This team is a joke with all the good managers out there they pick this guy unbelievable like I said this is why they won't win should of kept buck
They didn’t win shit with buck last year
Congratulations to Carlos Mendoza for being the new Manager of the New York Mets, best regards
