Castle Rock sounds amazing, Alyson! I love the idea of variety of views. That's one of the things that drew us to our current area!
It is one of the best perks of the area - you might get mountain views and a view of Castle Rock, then be a 3 minute walk to the native open space. It's a pretty great place to call home! :)

Castle rock is at least right off I 25, I lived in parker for a long time and its very inconvenient to get to from the freeways even if you pay the toll on 470!!
And castle rock is awesome!
CR does have that going for it, you're right. Parker is developing right up to I-25 now too, but if you're not on that side, it does take away from the convenience factor. Thank you for sharing your experience, it's helpful for others :)
Yeah that area of parker going over to 25 is extremely expensive!! Solid 40% higher cost than other parts of parker. Newer and they look nice though but pretty costly. I assume you are referring g to stepping stone?

On the whole, yes, The Meadows is the most popular, Ross. That has to do with a few factors - amenities, home variety, and location. It's the most northern community on 25 so shortest access out of CR. It also has access to Santa Fe to get out of CR. There are other perks to it too - elem - HS in the community, a hospital, shops, trails, etc. Thanks for connecting!

Was looking at the Reventure Consulting app. Most Colorado metro houses are only down about 3 to 3.5% YoY. Breckenridge is down by 8.5%! These are million dollar homes, but right next door is Edwards (also 1 mil+) UP 5%. What could be going on in Breckenridge? To clarify, Breckenridge- Summit County, Edwards - Eagle County.
Thanks for asking, but that is not my area of expertise to be able to answer with strong accuracy. Things I could point to are that Summit County has institued some strong STR policies. Eagle County is working on things, but to my knowledge it is not county wide. Something else to consider is there is an airport in Edwards area, not in Breck. So if we're looking at ALL data, the higher end buyer is leaning toward Eagle County for flights. Breck is not as high end as Vail and Beaver Creek. Breck also has traffic that runs through town (noise, car fumes, etc). I enjoy Breck, but if I were buying a mulit-million dollar home, I'd lean toward a town with a no cars in the downtown core policy

Centennial is a great area - it's narrow and long and runs from up against Littleton over toward the Denver Airport / Aurora. The DTC side makes for easy access to Downtown and the Tech Center. With the way the political climate is today, I would think this might be a factor for people moving - The Political Climate in Castle Rock, CO is Leaning conservative.
Douglas County, CO is Leaning conservative. In Douglas County, CO 36.6% of the people voted Democrat in the last presidential election, 54.7% voted Republican, and the remaining 8.7% voted Independent.
Douglas county voted Republican in the previous five Presidential elections.
In the last Presidential election, Douglas county remained strongly Republican, 54.7% to 36.6%
That is changing very quickly though. Joe Biden got 45.2% to Trump's 52.4 percent. Republicans use to win this country handily with 60% or more.
I'm looking for a place with great schools grades 3-12. On zillow most castle rock schools don't have great ratings. So what's the real deal. Why are the schools in Castle Rock great and which is the very best school area. I looking for a home that has everything from views to a v large yard to 6+ bedrooms. Where do I look.

Is it considered a suburb of Denver? Many times I have heared once you go south on 25 and get out of Lone Tree you are out of metro Denver.
