    Love your videos. I'm thinking of coming out to Denver. For a flight attendant, what area would you suggest? Single, no kids, 50's. I want to avoid busy traffic areas.

      Hi Nerissa, you have a lot of options, but I'm guessing you'd want to be pretty close to the airport. If that's the case, Centennial, Southeast Aurora, Parker, or even the Reunion (Commerce City) area would be good. All are going to be a pretty quick drive to the airport for you.

    Trying to move from texas to Colorado, looking for somewhere my partner can start a spa business, and where I can find a new job field, such as fire fighting, business, roofing, contracting etc. Would love to talk to you guys and get your opinion

    I'm actually looking to relocate to Colorado. Since I'm a remote worker, I don't need to be "near" Denver. I would like to be within 90 minutes of DIA and Denver in general because I want to do weekend trips to the ski slopes during the winter. Beyond that, I just need a really good Internet connection, a big yard and nice house and basically all the stuff I can't actually afford. However, my flexibility basically opens up the entire Front-range from Ft Colins to Colorado Springs. Ideally, I would like to be able to "see" the mountains from my community/neighborhood - so near Kansas isn't what I want. And, avoid being on well water since I don't want to prime a pump in -10F weather.

    Most middle class people can't afford mid 600's. Who are buying these homes?

    As someone who lives here he’s really downplaying how bad traffic can be and it’ll just get worse so 25 minutes now is 50 minutes in a few years during rush hour

    • @livingindenverpropertybros
      @livingindenverpropertybros  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our suggestion for anyone curious about traffic is to use your map app during various times to see for yourself the various travel times you may have between two points. I bet you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

      @@livingindenverpropertybros this broke down during Covid. 45 minute drives took 15 minutes. Traffic is back but it’s still increasing. It took me over 3 hours to get from Colorado spring to Littleton back to work by 3pm on a Friday which was over an hour of traffic mostly to get back on 470. This was back in 2018 before Covid changed things but it’ll only get worse as houses are built

    Insulation and building codes have changed so much that the deal you think you are getting can turn into a money pit nightmare here in my area with energy use because of materials used and the cost to bringing things up to code/update. Deck codes alone are strict and you cannot even remove/replace one spindle without having to bring a deck up to code. I have a client who thought they would remove the wood spindles and replace them with metal. County guy saw him dyi'ing it and cited him and made him bring the entire deck up to code tripling his costs! Unless a home was brought down to the studs on a re-model and brought up to todays codes, folks should understand the cost and expense involved with doing it and factor in those future costs. Sometimes you get what you pay for in Real Estate and unless you have the resources and skills/contacts/time to update a home, it might be better to save or buy-up to avoid the drama with DYI or remodeling. Ex: I am very experienced (25 years) with the contacts and I remodeled my kitchen down to studs costing me 25K but, anyone else this remodel in reality would be 60K+. I hear agents all the time saying to buyers "oh that is an easy upgrade or fix" and I shake my head and think, "yes if you have the money".. materials and labor costs are through the roof where I am at here in Metro Atlanta. I have a client remodeling her bathroom right now and this would have cost 10K at most just 3 years ago and her expected expense with my contacts/labor with no add-ons is hitting 26K! Just the frameless glass that would have cost 1500 now is 2600. Labor on the tile installation doubled! I totally agree with you on your gingerly warning about buying older, dated homes vs newer one a few towns away. Back in the day (about 5 years ago) I would have encouraged folks buying dated and fixing it up to gain equity, but not now! Maybe this will change in the future. My son is moving out to Denver this Summer and I have warned him about buying fixer-upper vs newer long term cost/time/effort. He upped his budget after our convo. ;0)
