    Praise God you’re doing fine. ☺️ same happened to me. I had a postpartum eclampsia. I went to ER after 5 days i gave birth (normal delivery) And my OB told me to have Magnesium Sulfate to prevent seizures. After taking magnesium for 2 days from the Hospital my blood pressure was back to normal and my doctor gave me Nifedipine 30mg. ( just incase my blood pressure went up) I was told to monitor my blood pressure 3 times a day. And after a day i was discharged from the hospital i checked my blood pressure it went back up again, so i took my medicine right away. i’m taking Once a day, until 2 months. It took 10 weeks for my blood pressure went back to Normal. It was really so scary and serious, But i know God is there for us if we have trust and have faith in Him. God is our Healer!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
    Take care yourself 🙏🏻❤️ God bless to all Moms!🙏🏻🙏🏻

    The same happened to me after the birth of my third child. I felt sick but didn't know what was wrong with me. I then went to see my obgyn and I was told I had post partum pre-eclampsia and that I should go to the hospital. I don't know why the condition is said to be so rare, yet I see so many women suffering and almost dying from it because they don't know what is wrong with them. There should be more information out there. Many pregnant women don't even know it exists!

    Thank you for sharing your experience! In fact while reviewing my discharge sheet, nurse told me not to worry about preeclampsia because I had perfect blood pressure during pregnancy. Your message makes me feel assured that things will get better with medicines. My daughter is 2 weeks old now and I am diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia. Mg Sulfate really made me sick. I’m having a follow up in couple of days. I hope things look better by then. Thanks again for sharing and spreading the awareness.

      Yes, everything is back to normal after 3-5 months. I did get occasional spikes but that was because i didnt sleep the night or stressed. Medication worked i was on Nifedipine. But after sometime i started taking half of the pill because it would lower it wayy to much. So just don’t worry, everything goes to normal! Speaking from experience lol i just was soooo stressed because no one knew what i was feeling.

I almost died. I was on 600 mg of labalatol and 50 mg of nifedipine for the first 2 months to keep my bp low. Then had to see a cardiologist, he switched my meds and my bp started to stabilize once I was 12 weeks postpartum. My son is now 15 weeks old and I just got off the meds last week. It took a while. My bp is not what it used to be but it’s stable now. I changed my diet to low sodium and I exercised as soon as I got the ok from doctor. That helped. I pray you get better soon.

  • @aprileh
    @aprileh 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, Taylor, I saw your story on the preeclampsia foundation page, and how you had postpartum preeclampsia a second time. I am so sorry you had to go through that twice, it's just terrible
    I had postpartum preeclampsia with my first, who is now 14 months old. I am now 8 weeks pregnant and my doctor has advised to take baby aspirin daily as a preeclampsia prevention. Were you ever advised this, or heard of this?

    • @weneverstopbelieven
      @weneverstopbelieven  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, and I’m sorry you had to go through that as well! It is horrible.
      I was also advised by my dr to take baby aspirin in my second pregnancy, but for me, it didn’t help at all. I’m guessing bc I am perfectly healthy throughout my pregnancy it’s just after birth my body starts going down hill. I would advise maybe to continue taking it afterwards as well. If my husband and I ever decide to have another baby I will be talking to my dr about putting me on blood pressure medicine immediately after I give birth bc I know myself better than they do and I just can’t go through that again. I truly hope you don’t go through it a second time! I wish you all the luck! 😊

      Hey! So sorry you are going through this! For me, after my first and second child, I was on bp medicine for 2 months, then I didn’t need it and was getting better. After my third child I was only on medicine for 2 weeks thankfully! But I’d definitely talk to your doctor about any problems and if your bp keeps rising go to the ER. You know your body best, so if you don’t feel right speak up! My first two pregnancies I didn’t speak up very much and I didn’t have doctors that wanted to see that there was a problem. Thankfully with my third pregnancy I had an amazing doctor who watched me like a hawk even up to two months after I gave birth. I made sure he knew I was scared. It’s such a scary thing to go through, I hope that you get better soon!
