Hey girl, so glad I found your video. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy on 2/12 (6 weeks ago) and during surgery needed to have one ovary removed because it was so large (palm of my hand big) originally had the hysterectomy because of fibroids. The first 2 weeks at home was a lot of rest but also walking. I had a lot of pain but managed it with Tylenol and plenty of fluids. Also was very exhausted. No issues with going to the bathroom. Have not done any lifting or over exerting myself. I have found myself now having more energy but need to remind myself to still take it easy. ❤ our bodies as females go thru a lot , so we must give ourselves plenty of grace. Recovery is crucial.
Hey Friend! I am so glad your recovery has gone well. I agree that resting well is a game changer. Did you have your take hormones after they removed one of your ovaries? Did you return to work yet?
@@gurldede I only had one ovary removed, so no need for hormones that I know of. I will be going to my 6 week checkup on Monday. I am a little nervous about the cuff situation. I’ve heard stories but hoping the doctor will answer most of my questions. I work from home so the desk job as been no problem this past week, plus light housework duties. But always rest when the body tells you ❤️🙏
Have my surgery scheduled for the 26th and I am getting nervous but very excited!! Your videos are helping calm me down. What were the first few days like at home?
Hi! I was nervous just like you but it wasn’t a bad experience for me at all. My first few days were hard because of my reaction to the pain meds but I slept a lot so it was okay. You will get through this my friend and feel sooo much better.
I'm starting my 3rd week, total vaginal hysterectomy. No abdominal cuts at all. No bleeding. Pain on left side that went away before 2nd week. Doing great.😊
Thank you so much, your videos are helping me so much. I will have a TAH within the next 2 months. U are already inspiring me to really take time and recover and not be in a rush to get back to work, life stresses, etc. Just focus on me. I kinda of planned it where the surgery will be in spring/summer up here in the Midwest, so that will help a lot too with my mental health. Thanks again and looking forward to ur updates.
Hi Friend! I’m so glad you found this video. My goal is help as many women as possible. I think it’s perfect that you planned your surgery during the spring. Please take your time to recover. It has truly been a gift to me. Good luck on your journey and keep a positive attitude.
love this 💗

At what month did you start lifting anything
@@deedeeminott4774 Hi! I think it is as early as 8 weeks but didn’t do heavy laundry loads until month 3.
@gurldede ok dede...I still a little bit scared but I am going to do what I can
