Do you mind sharing what is your best personal top speed straightaway speed on flat terrain road (and with little to no wind)? I used to train speedskating a few years back but my top flat straight away record is around 50-55 km/h. But I never did many races (especially in my in-line speedskating era)... Have been wondering if it is possible to learn skating and be reaching top sprinting speeds of 65-70 km/h on one's own (without any car/bike in front pushing through the air) on the flat? Can this be done? Is there such a skater who can do this kind of speed (on in-line skates)?
