So much room for activities. :) I was unimpressed by the CX-50, and found it noisy and harsh, and felt the CX-5 was a much better. The DCT transmission of the Sorrento I drove was a non-starter for me, however it did ride very nicely.
@@HDHQDIRECT , duh, yeah. I want to be able to tow. A DCT is terrible for that. If you are creeping forward or backwards on a hill fully loaded you are basically burning the clutches. CVTs aren't quite as bad, at least they use a torque converter, but still basically a big slipping metal belt on cones to change ratios.
So, to answer your own tag line, the KIA you are saying is more compliant for a family. As it will ride softer and have more cargo volume, with more tech.
They can’t!! 😂😂. Subaru banned them for taking one off-road as Subaru claimed they could do, but it couldn’t do it and they did somebslight damage to it. No more than they did to the Trail Boss with GM & they were not punished there! 😮😮. That being said, I was surprised by my wife who came home with a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek! I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is and how well it drives. It will only see gravel roads as the closest thing to off-road use, but it’s surprising how well it holds the road on gravel even. I suspect the Outback XT is very nice indeed. Subaru has also beefed up the drive systems since TFL did their last testing. 😊

Ill take the Kia. Having my entire family owning original owner vehicles with proper oil changes from Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Acura, Infiniti, and BMW, I can say the Hyundai and Kia products have held up better over time than others. I hear all this hate about those cars being crap and we have never seen any of it. If you dont do oil changes and maintenance or buy a used car that hasn't had it done regularly, you are gonna have major engine problems, regardless of brand.
I have been having hyundai no issue just oil change. I changed my air filter, cabin filter myself. My wife 17 Sante fe tires need to replace after 7 years 84k miles, I did flushed the transmission oil at 60 k and the rotors at 82k miles, my 22 tucson Nline with 59k miles instead of resurfacing the rotors at the dealers for $700 I just replaced them for $ 500 at auto zone with the gold set included the break pad.

I work for a major insurance company who stopped providing insurance for certain Kia’s because they skipped a small step and didn’t protect it from being stolen 🤦♀️ I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of theft or attempted theft claims we were getting on Kia and Hyundai. All because they took a cheap shortcut. You’re lucky if it didn’t happen to you.
The difference in length between the CX50 and Sorento is about 4" as opposed to close to 11" between the CX90 and the Sorento. Seems to me that they are reasonably comparable vehicles that buyers would cross-shop.

I also just asked my financial expert source and he replied REALLY QUICK in that he is certain that Honda is STILL looking into the financial and manufacturing books of RAM and Jeep and it seems Honda is STILL looking to buy those divisions from Stellantis and keep RAM and Jeep manufacturing in North America BUT change over the current 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines into Honda engines and add more Honda hybrid engine technology to those truck lines! It seems Honda is going on a buying spree and is NOT DONE YET as more MORE car companies are going to be gobbled-up into the Honda fold! Again, Honda and Nissan are in Merger talks as of today Dec 17, 2024 and it looks like Honda is STILL looking into the financial books of RAM and Jeep! V
I really love the Mazda's traditional dashboard.. Love the Mazda's traditional dial gauge cluster, traditional shifter.. I love the LESS tech in the Mazda.. But I'm 6 foot tall.. And Mazda blew it with the very low roofline, and cramped interior.. and lack of interior room, poor outward visibility and a very stiff ride. That is a shame - these have been a major problems with Mazda suvs for many, many years. Mazda doesn't seem willing to fix these major issues..

I had the CX 50 as a rental in Denver last week.
It wasn’t bad at all.
Mazda is more refined than the Kia.
Mazda all the way Kia looks like box and lots of issues check oil consumption or Dual clutch transmission

The interior of the Sorrento is a cluster.....not my words just the reviewers take on the front seat area.

I'd choose the CX-50 over the Kia. Mazda suspensions give you more road feel, which I prefer in a vehicle like this. Also, a nicer interior.
