Based on this game alone, I'd think that LSU would still be favored to make the top 12 if they lost. Mostly due to their pre-game ranking. A&M? Not so much. For the same reason.
How CW plays will likely be a determining factor, true (same with GN). But if CW plays "poorly" or "bad enough", is that a "which Weigman" issue, or an LSU D issue. Both teams have legit "SEC" defenses, which can make otherwise well regarded QBs look average. I assume that be pretty clear by the end of the game.
If the LSU defense keeps playing the way they have played in the last 2 games then I think LSU has a chance to beat anybody. If the LSU defense from the first 5 games of the season shows up then I think anybody could beat them.
This game is so close between 2 very good teams, but the 2 things that often determine the outcome of games is the quality of the coaching staffs, and the competency of the QB's. I think LSU has the edge in both of these key categories. If LSU D can stop or control & limit A&M's rushing attack and Moss the Tigers will come out of CS with a win and break the road team's losing streak.
LSU defense vastly improved but I don’t think an Elko led team will have back to back poor performances. There’s plays to be had against LSU secondary and BK’s road record is not good. 31-24 Ags
Y’all sure are acting like the game hinges on Weigman and not how effectively A&M runs the ball, you know being that we run the ball 60+ percent of the time. If I didn’t know anything about this team I’d assume that both ran an air raid style offense watching this.
LSU has a top 25 run defense. It's their pass defense that they are really bad at. They shut down Ole Miss and Ark's run game, 2 of the best rushing teams in the SEC. However, LSU will give up a long run here or there if the RB can make it to the second level because the secondary is very much below average
What does that matter? Do you honestly believe Marcel reed and his 50% completion rate is better? Conner is a gunslinger that has 100% confidence in his arm....he is going to win you games in a ehootout, hes gonna lose you games by throwing a couple picks. Marcel Reed is a game manager with beteer wheels than accuracy. He wont force many throws, wont make many down field completions, but if the D can keep you in the game, he might do enough with his legs to get you the W....he does not have the capability of beating good teams in a shootout
Evenly matched. A toss up. Injuries during this game will determine the outcome. It's going to be a slobberknocker! TAMU had better pass off of the run successes instead of the opposite . . .
@lamontromccain6208 nah what's delusional is that they actually got Texas beating LSU. Texas hasn't played anyone. Mizzou poo arkansas poo Norte dame poo . LSU 55 TEXAS A&M 3
LSU won every game from 2011 (cotton bowl) up to the 2018 7OT game. 7 OT for 7 years of defeat. Since then the home team has won every game. Lets hope it holds true for another year.
@@jchoney1000 LSU used to get whipped pretty bad, but then they cancelled series with A&M and figured out some loopholes to get players into school without using scholarships using their states “lottery” earnings. As they say, "Past results do not guarantee future returns." For either team. We will soon see which team has superior coaching (for this game) and which coaching staff did the best job of keeping their players focused on this game alone, as though this game alone was the entire season.

A huge variable is which Weigman will show up for the game.

Not whatsoever, a win out from either loser should make it
Agreed. I will say A&Ms Loss to ND looks much better than ours against USC.
@@Cdrop63how? Notre dame lost to northern Illinois?😂

4 or 5 sacks on nuss?? He ain't been sacked all year
He had been sacked at SC. We got him 3 times.
I think when the teams are pretty even you have to go to the QB. Who ha the best QB?

BK is 14-3-1 in back to back road games since 2006. That doesn’t really matter here obviously. Should be a good game. His road record isn’t bad though
LSU is firing on all cylinders, and what's scary is that they continue to get better week after week. LSU wins easily. Geaux Tigers!
