Landed yesterday morning at Heathrow, I’m cabin crew of 30yrs..... it was amazing that the pilot landed...... very nerve wracking! Well done our Captain!
One great moment yesterday was when an Aeroflot A350 Airbus en route from Moscow to LHR, was on final approach, and Jerry starts yelling "the Russians are coming"
I only started watching his channel about 2 weeks ago. He's a very passionate guy. Seems nice though so I hope he gets plenty of new fans. He deserves it
He's just had quite the mention on the BBC, and CNN; and The Independent ran a very long video of his footage under their banner. So I think it couold be said that his channel has been cleared for take off............................;)
As a flight attendant for over three decades I don't know if I should watch this or not. I have been on planes taking off and landing at Gatwick and Heathrow when the wind seemed unreasonably strong to be taking off or landing. Strong enough to knock our suitcases over as we were boarding up the stairs from the ramp along with knocking over a fellow flight attendant. Hopefully the comedy will be funny enough to override the fear.. Here I go. Edit: I enjoyed that. I'm going to be looking up his live stream and watching. I also want to do a shout out to my pilots and their training. They're the best in the industry. I don't want to reveal the airline, but they know who they are!
My husband flew a DC-6 in Alaska for years. . . . I’ll tell you “ I was terrified “ with his left seat experiences! It was incredible to be at the end of Anchorage International Air Strip with an over weight load and yelling for his departure to take off. It would have been hilarious to have a narrative like this to make me laugh at those moments !Bravo for the humor 👏🏼👏🏼
Go to the Aran Islands off the West coast of Ireland during a storm. When a 100 ft wave hits the 700ft cliffs in a storm the spray gets all the way across the Island.
The first one was Russian Aeroflot followed by British Airways very entertaining to watch but not so if you're onboard those planes at that particular moment
We were lucky to be in the yellow zone up at the top end of England so didn’t get the battering that some places took, did have some snow though. Good to see people hunkering down with a bit of humour to pass the time, it definitely wasn’t the weather for an afternoon walk.
I remember taking a shuttle from O'Hare to Charlottesville during a derecho on the East coast, late Jun of 2010.. (was stuck in O'Hare for 9+ hrs over it) when we finally landed at C'ville, we hit the runway like a meteor. It was nuts.
That's a lovely voice to hear from the London correspondent. Cross wind landings aren't much fun. I remember a Cessna 150 approach where the pillar between the front and side windscreens was lined up between my eyes, that's how far crabbed over we were coming down on the tarmac.

That's so strange because it was extremely windy here in southeastern Pennsylvania, too on Friday. Quite unusual to have two similar weather phenomena in such distant regions.
Fun Fact: The Earth is rather large. Not really that uncommon to have similar weather patterns (high winds, rain, snow, excessive heat/cold, etc, etc) in more than one distinct location hundreds, if not thousands, of miles apart.

And I thought the US Mainland was experiencing some major storm surges this winter - ENGLAND I truly hope that you are able to “WEATHER THE STORMS” as they say and hopefully see you all in the SPRING !!!
Was on the south coast. Trees down, flying bins and trampolines, couldn't leave my house without falling over and, 1st time in 18 years, 1 hour 19 minute power cut. Sounded like a major train crash. 3 metre high waves and only traffic was emergency vehicles. Roofs stripped of tiles and debris everywhere. Storm Eunice passed and another quickly followed. Finally calmed down in early hours today. All roads cleared, nobody without power and everybody safe. We have great infrastructure, which can cope with these little issues and great local Council staff who had the clear up started immediately.
This was on the news here in the U.K. as soon as he said what he said, I said to my wife the people on the plane must have been absolutely terrified. Why was he there during a storm instead of being at home keeping safe, or was it more macabre and he wanted to see a plane crash and people fcuking die, I made my mind made up. It didn’t show you on this clip, but one clip on the news showed a plane taking abortive action at the very last moment, the passenger’s would have been petrified.
Hey CNN.... Do you really have to have that banner at the bottom so large? We're not blind. Why do you make it so big? You've basically cut off the bottom 1/5 of the image on the screen which is often the part of the video we're interested in seeing. Can't you suspend the banner while the video plays? So friggin annoying....
This is how we do things.. Our stiff upper lip.. Our sence of humour.. We don't let anything get us down.. We carry on.. I mean everytime it was a British Airways we cheered like we just won Olympic gold 😂😂😂
This was so tame. I landed in Shannon Airport one night in 1976. We landed on the short runway, the main runway was unusable because of the wind direction. All other Airports in Ireland had been closed so we had no choice. I was at a window seat. As the plane touched down I was looking straight up the runway, the plane was at about 45 degrees to it. We bounced bout 6 times before finally landing and stopping just yards from the end. Co-incidentally, a few weeks before that I had been on the first passenger carrying plane to do a fully automatic landing at Heathrow Airport.
