it took 6 months for customs to clear ur vehicle( being ur uncle as its D.G) maybe they might take 6 years to clear ordinary citizens' vehicles.

It takes less than his salary to create a website that will verify on the spot all these values, for the past 70 years these departments have given zero customer care with less technology usage, no public loyalty, looted the poor, acted like they own all the cars, make us feel thankful for their services.
In a country which cannot build its own car how did we make a nuke ? Having a car is basic human rights in all over the world because you need a car to earn money. Earning money drives society & the economy , but in Pakistan car is the most luxurious thing one can get in life. The impact is overburden in your cities, people cannot travel far for jobs, safety is zero, local cars are just assembled here, there is no transfer to technology to local ones, women need a "mahram mard" to accompany them for travel.
Govt. thinks it is saving the local jobs of auto manufacturers !! this is like you create a nokia 1100 mobile phone industry in Pakistan and start selling it at Rs 1 lakh. Old, outdated, useless yet it will create job for out people... Wake up Pakistan.
In the whole world when you buy or sell a car if registration is done at a different place then a VIN checkup is performed by the excise department. If a car is registered with fake VIN it is incompetence of your department & it should be fixed. This does not give you the right to start patrolling highways and treat everyone like a culprit.
Nowhere on earth police will stop you like out checkpoints, why should I need to prove it to every bloody officer myself? Am I not a citizen of this country or a thief?.........I try to find good things in my society and they all are like.

Sir kindly i request u to follow this officer till for bringing the positive changes in the custom department . And please also tske an interview with concern minister for the improvement .

I respect the initiative taken by Pakwheels and I also respect the officer but it should be noted that whatever question or inquiry was being taken Sir was replying with " ye agle saal , ye bhi hum karenge "
So its my point what they have doing these so many years ?
This is a very serious and a concerned issue and no solid actions and step have been taken to resolve this matter

Government data on all cars should easily be available for all users. A person intended to buy a car he/she should be able to go online enter car registration and see all the details.
