It comes down to which one feels better in your hands. Similar tone with the LTD/emg's having a sharper attack. Can probably give the epi a similar attack with a pedal.
Nice one mate, yeah, they're both great sounding guitars, and agreed on it's own I prefer the sound of the LTD a bit more since it's so well balanced, but the Epiphone cuts through a bit more in the mix. They both play great, the LTD plays itself basically, it really is effortless to play. The Epiphone has a much thicker neck, very close to the profile on a Gibson Les Paul 50s Standard and you need to fight it a bit more, but also is a cool playing instrument. I lucked out on this Epiphone, it came well setup and stays in tune great, but I know that's not always the case. 🍻
Good evening Gabriel ! Thanks you very much for your profesionalism ! You are thé King ! Your expertise makes us. taste the differences between the guitars hou propose ! I made my choice for my future guitar thanks to You ! I'm lookink tout vidéos from France .Bully for You ! God Bless you and your loved ones
Hi mate, thank you so much, really appreciate it. I wrote the music just for the video, forgot to name it. Working on more guitar comparison videos at the moment, stay tuned :)
What I find interesting, I bought a Monoprice Indio 66 Classic V2 for $ 75 over Thanksgiving weekend as a preowned that sounds every bit as good as either of these guitars. After tweaking the set up on a $ 129.99 guitar it was as playable as any guitar I've ever handled. There were a couple of cosmetic flaws the Monoprice had that once corrected, were hidden by plastic covers for plug & drill that nobody can see as cosmetic flaw corrections. What a deal that guitar turned out to be. Minor tweaks (truss rod adjustment and saddle post height lowered) to the set up as well and the string action is just about as low as any custom shop could ever get without fret buzzing. The Chinese obscure brands have easily caught up with the best name brands of the industry. China is just crushing it for quality even. Is there a reason to buy a guitar beyond $ 100-500 ?
Hi mate, the Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient pickup set is fantastic, there's not much they can't do. Even though they're mostly marketed for the modern metal players, I find them to be super versatile and warm sounding, even for more "classic" styles of music, they really suit this guitar, and I probably prefer this set over the more generic JB/59 set.
I think the main reason that epi wins out in sales is because ESP is always on! The epi does not attack as strongly but can be made to with pedals. LTD is always on attack. Great tone on both, though.
Hi Nicholas, for the heavy Rhythm tracks I tend to use ToneX with a capture of a modded Marshall, however on this one I used Archetype Plini (Amp 2, based on a Marshall as well). For everything else I like using Neural DSP’s Soldano plugin.
Both sound great, but different Epi 59 has a sweeter middle tone played clean. LTD has clearer harmonics. Probably all due to difference is pickups more than anything.
Cmon, the playing ,and the song are so good, how can you tell the difference? The player would have to tell us what the playability is,man that is really fine music
Which one do you fine folks think sounds best? LTD EC 1000 or the Epiphone 59 Les Paul?

ESP all the way. Really great playing. 🤘😎🤘
Nice one, it's a fantastic guitar. Thank you my friend! Very cool of you 🍻

I’m easy like Sunday morning and I like both 😂 Those tones you get, dude! Really something else!
Ha, awesome, they’re both excellent no doubt! Obrigado amigo 🍻
Thanks a lot for all these detailed comparison
My pleasure mate, thank you for checking them out 🤘
I like the way the LTD sounds more, but the Epi sat in the mix a little better. They’d both work really well together in a full band context!
Which one played better? I haven’t had the best experience with well set up Epi’s. Every LTD I play feels pretty decent, like an Ibanez.

Thank you so much my friend. That's very kind of you, really appreciate it!
Great. Now I want one of each LOL (Killer playing as always)
Hahaha, nice! Very different instruments so definitely recommend having both 😁
Name music please, i love you work, Please bring more comparisons of guitar brands and models, thank you very much.

LTD got my mark
Nice one mate, it’s such a fun and easy guitar to play too 🍻
@@gabriel_guitarDid you see any difference between ltd 1000 and ltd 256?
The Pegasus bridge pickup on the LTD sounded better for the chugs on metal riffs 1 and 2.
Nice one Eric, indeed the Pegasus is awesome for the metal riffage 🤘
Hello Gabriel could you tell us about the pick ups of the Esp ltd EC 1000t please ! Thank you very much

Fair point mate. Appreciate you checking the video out 🍻
Hi, I was wondering what you use for your tones on most of these comparisons?
Hi Nicholas, for the heavy Rhythm tracks I tend to use ToneX with a capture of a modded Marshall, however on this one I used Archetype Plini (Amp 2, based on a Marshall as well). For everything else I like using Neural DSP’s Soldano plugin.
@@gabriel_guitar Thanks! Plini's amp 2 is one of my favorites to play on myself, no wonder I liked your tone here lol
@@Nicholas-sg7qk Ha, that's awesome! Such a great sounding and versatile plugin. 🍻
Both sound great, but different
Epi 59 has a sweeter middle tone played clean. LTD has clearer harmonics.
Probably all due to difference is pickups more than anything.
Fore sure mate, both great sounding guitars with different characters. No doubt the pickups play a big part in how different they sound 👍
Cmon, the playing ,and the song are so good, how can you tell the difference? The player would have to tell us what the playability is,man that is really fine music
Thank you mate. Really glad you enjoyed the music 🍻
Great playing, but surely this just a pickup comparison?
Thanks mate, just comparing how different the guitars sound, the pickups play a big part in it for sure 🍻
