Good stuff, Nick - not sure why, but I like enclosures that start on the upper tone first, rather than the lower one. And you are right about it coming out naturally in your playing the more you practice them. I find that happens the more I work on the etudes I've gotten from your Patreon page.
Hi, Nick Wouldn't it be cool if we just all agreed to stay out of a few keys? Ha-ha! I know...."Body & Soul" is traditionally in Dd, & sure, we SHOULD be equally proficient in all keys, but....we should floss after every meal & do all kinds of other stuff that's good for us but doesn't kill us if we don't, Right? Think how much better we'd be in, say, 10 keys if C instrument players made a deal with....Oops, there's a catch...the alto sax players would need to..... Never mind....I was just takin' a practice break from stumbling around in Gb & began doing some lazy, wishful thinking. Good exercises by the way. I just liked.
Dear Nick, Thank you so much for your great help again. I keep practicing these bebop cromatism. I sm also practicing 12 key major mode. Before I meet you, my solo was so terrible that I was not sure whether I am playing jazz or not. Now with your instruction, I am a bit confident to chellenge agaist " the round midnight" and " Blue in Green", which are the big progress for me. With your bebob cromatism, I feel how each note can be related in more detail and my way ofsolo is getting more looks sophisticated. Really, you are saving me. Thank you so much. If I can play these bebob cromatism by 120 bpm, then, I would like to join your jazz cast. Thank you again. You are the best Jazz teacher and musician, and composer.
Thanks a lot for your very clear and structured way to teach these things.
You're very welcome!

Same here, David! Something sounds cool about the notes falling into resolution rather than moving up. Thanks for watching!

Would this work in a Jazz Duet?
Hey Jay. I'm going to need a little clarification on that. How do you mean?
