Hello. I am planning to make the Hybrid micro, including the same type of delrin box. I am very new to this, but I think the kit you used has slightly different wiring from what Chameleon uses in their Hybrid and Emcomm. You can search for an image with title on top of it "5:1 broadband rf transformer construction G8JNJ". I plan to use that schematic and ferrite FT82A-43. Curious to know what you think.
It may be different from Chameleon’s wiring. This was a total experiment for me - and I was really just trying to see if I could get anywhere near the performance of the CHA TDL vertical setup. I’ve been delayed in taking the homebrew antenna out for field testing due to some medical stuff (which I’ve thankfully recovered from), but initial tests look promising. Did you make your build yet? If so how did it perform?
@@hambilly-radio Okay, good to know. It is going slow here, but I have mostly gathered the parts and will start making it soon. I only changed the ferrites to 33RI 20x10x10 and will use total of 10, because they are smaller and fit better the cylindrical delrin. It did say in that article to use 33 and I decided to be sure I am making the correct thing. Although they are difficult to find.
My guess is that they are Multicomp Pro 323-4940 toroids, but that is only a guess. There is no information given in the instructions about the specific mix used. It does say they are Multicomp brand.

33RI 31.5X16X19 Ferrite Core , this is the ferrite core that do the job.
