I gotta say I love your animations so much. They balance "shitpost energy" and "actual legitimate old fashioned animation" so well. It has an almost nostalgic style if that makes sense, even if it was made recently. The actual drawings are pretty simple but the animation has so much detail and character (especially the Lady's expressions, Thin Man's goofy runs, and just Mono in general), and the post processing / effects add a lot to it as well. The actual premise of all your animations are super interesting and entertaining as well, haha. The sort of lighthearted AU you've made out of LN is super fun. I love the Monster Mono animation too-the concept and storyline and animation is all super good, and obviously more detailed than the parody animations. I'm glad you didn't make the ending depressing I was so scared for a second there.

Funfact for ppl who don’t know: The lady actually isn’t that ugly. She doesn’t look like that. She wears a mask bc she THINKS she is ugly. The truth is she is really beautiful but the mirror keeps tricking her with a illusion that she is ugly. My theory: I think it’s a curse as a represent of karma because her dark magic backfired on herself because of all the bad things she has done. So when she found out that there is children in the maw she didn’t like it but if she saw one she would make them into a nome. Making the children into nomes taking away their youth and making herself young but everytime she does that she has the feeling that she is getting uglier, everytime she does something bad she gets uglier in every single mirror as karma but she doesn’t understand because she thinks what she is doing is necessary and not evil so she doesn’t know about the curse and doesn’t know what’s causing it. So it’s like stuck on loop as she keeps making children into nomes hoping she gets prettier even tho she is already pretty and the mirror is fooling her which she doesn’t know. She is quite alone and doesn’t have people call her beautiful or anything. Other ppl can see her beauty but she can’t see it herself. The only way to look at yourself is through a camera or a mirror and it keeps tricking her. She is generally scared of losing her youth and beauty and this is like a nightmare come to life for her. She thinks that other people will see her the same way as she sees herself in the mirror so she wears a mask because she thinks she actually looks like this and doesn’t want people to think that she is 'ugly' so she wears a mask.
Interesting theory, although that ugly face in the mirror is actually the Granny's reused model, which leads me to think the Granny is what happens to a Lady who has outlived her usefulness as hostess of the Maw - cast into the deep, leaking bowels of the vessel to die while a new Lady takes control. After all it's heavily implied there were multiple Ladies before the current one, judging by the group portrait in the Lady's Quarters showing 5 Ladies, 4 of them blacked out. So I'm assuming they all shared the same fate as the Granny, once they got too old and weak to properly run the Maw. But where do these new Ladies come from? It's not like the Maw has any relations with the outside world...except of course, the Nest. We know this from an easter egg (a book literally titled The Maw) in VLN level 14, the eye searchlights in level 1, and a sizeable amount of Nomes inhabiting the place. Hell, the Nest even has a counterpart of Ferryman from the comics, except this guy wears a tophat and collects kids in a hot-air balloon (his portrait is in level 14). With so many obvious similarities to the Maw, it's likely this manor is where future Ladies are raised to keep the Maw alive in an endless cycle. The Pretender is one of these Ladies-in-training. Even the name, The Nest - a haven where young birds stay and grow until they can spread their wings - describes its purpose perfectly. But this raises a question, who layed the egg, so to speak? Where do the Pretenders even come from? Well, there's a lot of proof to suggest she's the Lady's daughter. Think about it, that portrait of her and her parents in level 17, in which the father looks strikingly like the Hanging Man from LN1, both the Lady and Pretender possessing extremely powerful anomalous abilities, and the fact it's called the Nest in the first place, implying there's a "mama bird"...Yeah. Guess that's why the Nomes are made to be so cute and huggable. What's your opinions on these theories?

Also btw the Lady's reflection isn't the "old design" of the Granny, it's literally the Granny's face slapped onto the Lady's body. But I get what you're trying to say tho Regarding that Teacher theory I can't say you're absolutely wrong, since Tarsier has never confirmed any of this, but it's still super unlikely. The Hanging Man is clearly affiliated with the Pretender to some extent because he's got a portrait of his own limp body in the Nest, but we don't see Teacher's portrait anywhere. Furthermore there's a ton of glaring similarities between her core characteristics and the Lady's, mainly an extreme obsession with beauty, a love for dolls, and immense lifeform-altering powers (Lady extracts souls, Pretender makes you disappear). The Teacher shares none of these traits, and it's quite the opposite of her nature to spoil a child like that. Speaking of spoiling, notice how everything in the Nest is aesthetically identical to the Maw, whereas there's nothing that resembles the Pale City's look. This would have to imply the Teacher was originally from the Maw, which is a huge stretch considering the Lady's been there since the beginning. How could Nomes and other goods be imported to the Nest if the Teacher's in Pale City and Hanging Man's dead? And the Lady is literally the host of that transport point, soooo... Also if the Nest's name is based on its real-world meaning, then it wouldn't make sense for Teacher to be her mother, because that isn't a self-contained cycle from Nest to Maw and back, but rather Pale City - Nest - Maw, which isn't exactly fitting for a birds' nest, y'know? Lastly the argument about Teacher's feet - sure they look alike, but there's so many counter-points against this that it's dwarfed in comparison. The dress and shoes aren't even the same color as the Teacher's. Oh yeah and the Teacher wasn't even made yet, so there's that.
