This is the best one of these I've seen, like the doom music or various metal are usually used but imagining the intruders face as this starts blasting throughout the house with red lighting, and wondering what unhinged individuel they've broken in on.

I really liked this song when it came out. I was in high school and remember bugging a DJ at my high school dance to play this song. As it turned out I liked the song more than other people did. The DJ only played half the song because it cleared the dance floor. I liked the song because it was DEVOish (who was popular at the time).

It's the crossover between mainstream music fans who likes Paul because of Beatles and people who genuinely appreciate different forms of music. My mom bought me the tape while she was on a trip in Japan in the 80s.... I was a fan of Paul (and still am) and absolutely loved the album. I thought this song was so original! I love Paul, his creativity is amazing. He's the only one I loved amongst the Beatles.

Take away the sequencer and the deliberately weird singing voice and it’s a pretty conventional pop rock song. Those elements give it a really interesting abrasive quality. I love Paul’s willingness to do these weird experiments from time to time.

This was one of my very first albums & I played it over & over. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE was THIS SONG & I had to wait til no one else was home, so I could play it LOUD, in all its glory! When I finally got to see Sir Paul in concert (2016, Fresno... of all places...less than 3 miles from where Ilived!), he MUST HAVE KNOWN to play it for me! I went NUTS for it & my daughter was shocked!

probably the most odd song from Mr. McCartney. The genius of his musicianship is truly shown in the film Give My Regards to Broad-street.

This sounds like hyperpop before hyperpop existed
I heard OF the song before I had a chance to listen to it, and honestly I couldn't imagine what would it sound like, what with the name and all. At first I was put off by the message but the catchy tune kept playing at the back of my mind and eventually I found myself willing to give it another listen, that's when I payed it enough attention to realize how funny it actually is. Now it's one of those guilty pleasure songs to me that are kinda annoying yet addictive and you can have them on repeat for some time. The pre-chorus bass sounds nice, too.
Most critics panned this album because they were used to Macca's Beatle
sound. When he experimented and put some funk on it, they just hated it.
But an open mind will treat this a good one. A great example of how
Macca showcased his one-man-band genius. The guy is songwriter
extraordinaire.
From what i can remember fans at that time were also baffled by this(especially this song)
@@miat9039 the entire album left people bewildered. Even though I'd say the vast majority of songs (about 80%) are fantastic, the album is no doubt experimental and strays far away from McCartney's regular sound. Lots of them don't even have lyrics. Some songs like Coming Up, Waterfalls and Nobody Knows in my opinion have more of what you'd expect from McCartney only with a few new electronic effects he was messing around with but I digress
