I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, I live in Pa but I'm going home to Pittsburgh in the year 2012 and I can't wait to go home!!!!!!!!!!! I love you Pittsburgh!!
Wow congratulations. Thanks to us, we invented the first gas station and grocery store. Also the highways that took you there, also the jeep that you rode on that highway. The aluminum can that the beer is in was invented in Pittsburgh...I could go on and on!!!
I love this. I grew up in Pittsburgh and remember the BIcentennial celebration well. My Dad worked for an engineering firm that worked on the moving mechanism for the Civic Arena. Now my daughter, who grew up all over the country, lives in Bloomfield and loves it.
Loved it all, except the fact that Westinghouse was given credit for the lighting of the World's Fair, with no mention of Nikola Tesla and his Alternating Current who made it all possible! Congratulations, Pittsburgh. I loved playing my clarinet on the field with hundreds of specially selected high school band members from all area schools for your 200th Anniversary, our Bicentennial Celebration. Also still have my "Chappy" badge noting the same! Pittsburgh Forever!
I have lived from Manhattan to San Francisco and all parts in between, one thing I can say without hesitation is... Pittsburgh is Americas Best Kept Secret and most livable city. If you haven't been to Pittsburgh don't wait, don't hesitate come today you may find yourself calling Pittsburgh home.
LOL! I'm still reaping the benefits of that victory (*). The asterisk represents a single tear, one of billions shed in Seattle. Oh well, thanks for giving Franco a chance when he was washed up. That was nice of you guys.
Seattle Whine: Made from the finest sour grapes, poor special teams, horrid clock management, one crushing interception and tears. Vintage 2006. GO STEELERS!
Dear Mr. Trucker : I am sorry that you lost a mirror, but it could have happened in any city. Don't blame our great city. I believe they call your disorder "displaced aggression".
