I've been gone for 40 years, and still miss Da Burgh. Why? Because Pittsburgh has the greatest people. Pittsburghers are warm and friendly, articulate, outgoing, sympathetic, honest, etc. "Yinz" don't know how good you've got it!
Born and raised a Burgher' lived there from 1954 until 1979. Some of the glory years! No place quite like the 'Burgh that is for sure. The South Hills rocked it. Dahntahn was the place we skipped school to hang out. Now isn't that cool? We get back every few years just to see the city and soak in the magic.
Love Pittsburgh: The Movie... makes me want to go back today for a visit.. all the great sights, movies and people!! Well Done! Thank you! Marlene Publicist for Indienink Music
Having been born and raised there, worked there, went to the University of Pittsburgh and still have family and friends there...I could not be prouder to be from Da Burgh! Go Pittsburgh! Looking pretty great there on film!
This is so well put together...the film clips and the music work so well. It's incredible! As a Pittsburgher in exile (I live in VA), I thank you for the virtual trip back home. OK, I was just there this past weekend but that doesn't negate my appreciate for this work! Nice job!
We are EPIC!!!!!! We are PITTSBURGH!!!!! Like no other place, strong, determined, hard working, awesome.... this does not show the people of Pittsburgh, but the fact that it has been embraced by the movie Industry is great. But I think this clip will really only touch you if you are form the Burgh. I walked on every one of those streets. It is my childhood. Rize.
They keep making MORE movies here... at this rate, you will have to do another compilation. I can't even imagine all the hard work that must have gone into this, let alone avoiding the issues that get so many videos yanked from YT. Anyhow, thanks so much for putting this together. I have shared it many times, and I watch it again each time I send the link to someone! Bravo!
I've always loved living in Pittsburgh and always felt blessed to have been born here which may seem odd to say to some people. Recently I've been thinking of moving to start over and shake things up in my life, but I don't think I can ever leave it. I love it too much.
Love it! Gaahh the memories making these movies! They are missing a few like Love & other drugs, Riddle, I am no. 4, out of the furnace, and of course the most recent tv show Those Who Kill
some scenes definitely were filmed in downtown Pittsburgh--I was in college living at the Point park university dorms at the time and we were trying to got to Burlington coat factory and Barnes and noble but they had 6th ave closed off for filming. I saw Richard Gere from the end of the block! most exciting moment of my young life!
Fantastic! Edits will be necessary to keep the inclusiveness of newer releases. Another wrapped last week, Antoine Fuqua directed Southpaw. Penn Circle, where the farmer's market happens was completely full of production vehicles, Haddad's and otherwise, for night shoots around East Liberty Presbyterian.
Thank you! Should have known, I watched them film it daily from my school. I passed John's L trailer daily, his trailer name was "bear" so the public couldn't tell which one was his.
Love this!!! Even though .... there were some movies left out. "Boys on the Side", "The Mothman Prophecies" and "The Silence of the Lambs" - but hey! that's OK :) beautiful work!!
VERY good job. I bet this gets picked up by all the local media outlets. Don't know who you are AZCello (cellist from Arizona?) but this is like a love letter to Pittsburgh. Love it!
Very entertaining and really a great visual representation of the city shot through the recent hollywood envelope of Pittsburgh production. Pittsburgh Film Office and the Chamber should use this for marketing.
We used to come down from Mercer and visit everything within walking distance from Forbes Field, then we'd go get a knothole gang ticket and spend the afternoon there. And I still get caught by sayin' that needs warshed instead of that needs to be washed.

I loved this! I'd like to add The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh to one that was missed. (Filmed at the Civic Arena in the 70s.)
Very nicely put together. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone remember the movie with Jonathan Winters in it titled " The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh " it was filmed in 1976 or 77.
Always........I am, at this moment, clicking the heels of my ruby slippers.......
Had no idea Milk Money was shot here! Then again, I havent seen it in years...
Great job Aron!
Love it! Great job.
Some Clips from The Silence Of The Lambs would have made it really good
It did show Jodie Foster walking in the Carnegie Museum's dinosaur section.
2:22 - 2:23 My mother is in this scene for a split second, hahaha. The Zombie in the V-neck... Funny they grabbed this clip out of all of them.
Wasn't the end scene of 42 filmed in pittsburgh? Or did Hollywood use greenscreens for Forbes feild?
Forbes Field was demolished in '71. And 42 was still in theaters when I posted this video.
But you could see the cathedral of learning in the background
ferbritzeo It was digitally added in. Plus it's actually facing the wrong way in the film.
We used to come down from Mercer and visit everything within walking distance from Forbes Field, then we'd go get a knothole gang ticket and spend the afternoon there. And I still get caught by sayin' that needs warshed instead of that needs to be washed.
