Jakarta is for real food haven. Melting pot of almost all ethnicities in indonesia, therefore you will find almost all cuisines that indonesia has to offer. Jakarta is also indonesia's best for international cuisine. Many authentic middle eastern food, asian( from central to east asia and everything in between), brazilian cuisine, peruvian, even nigerian, and the list goes on and on.
Last but not least(lets be honest we all crave for fast food once in a while), american fast food. Not the usual mcd and kfc, but carls junior, wendy's, popeys, taco bell and what not.
Yesssss, it was so delicious with soooo many different options!
Thanks, Nikki has visited Indonesia. There are so many more places you can explore in Indonesia as you know there are more than 17.000 Islands spread across the country.

As a big city, Jakarta, was so under rated. The traffic jams & pollution are always the issues raised that been exaggerated by many people thats make Jakarta less popular.
when actually compared to Bombay, Srilanka, or other cities in Asia, Jakarta faaar moree fun, modern, colorful & tourist friendly.
There are still so many fun places to visit in Jakarta and the suburb area around it.
There are Taman Safari in Puncak just about 45 mt from Jakarta ( near Bogor), Dunia Fantasi in Ancol ( Indonesian Disney land), Taman Mini Indonesia Indah ( a miniature of the whole Indonesia) but now still in renovations.
A big mall AEON with culinary supermarket haven in it in BSD city,... ( u can try using KRL train) and many more.
just browse more, and you will dizzy with all the Jakarta capability to serve the tourist thirst for great experience.
In Jakarta we have to use combination transport between our private car let say p[ark in the closer MRT station, then you can go every where with the combination of MRT, BRT, KRL and or even LRT

My wife and I just got back from Jakarta. We stayed at the Intercontinental Pondok Indah, the best service, hands down, I have ever received. The people there are extremely humble and nice. Will be back for sure. Terima kasih banyak Jakarta!

in Jakarta please use MRT, KRL (electric train) and BRT.(trans Jakarta Bus), you can go everywhere easily. Especially to go to Old Town that has no parking station
Trains like Sardines like in Manila.

I would recommend visiting Malang, especially Batu. I have been to many places in Indonesia. But Malang and Batu had some kind of energy that I just can not explain. It calmed my soul.

Have you ever tried delicious food beside Jalan Thamrin in the evening? There are various types of food that really shake the tongue. I come from the city of Surabaya which is also famous for its delicious culinary. Tunjungan Plaza is the second big mall at Surabaya.
