    When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.
    I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.
    When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.
    Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world.

      BunnyGalore my question is, why would you want to be classified as a victim, like why do leftists always want to be classified as victims. Personally it’s not something I want people to think of me, I just don’t know why they want to be thought of as that. Part of being a victim is weak, persecuted, having part of the world against them, beaten down and many other bad characteristics that no one should want themselves to be thought of. Instead people should try to be the opposite, which is strong, courageous, not taking shit, living your life free without objection, etc. Basically what I’m try to say is you shouldn’t try to be a victim as it makes no sense whatsoever

When you turn to drugs to cope with life its far worse than being a whiny little bitch. But its all fine if JBP does, rules dont apply to the people who make them. Yes, they were not kidding when they said that the Bible is the instruction manual for living life.
      An important aspect of our faith is to acknowledge that we are sinful beings, essentially as mentioned, admitting that "I" am the problem. The path to life begins from there, whether spiritual or physical.

      David Lyons And here is the recipe to fix the society:
      MGTOW in most cases is the right answer to the insane circumstances we are in: you can not blame society for attacking you because of your identity (white male), BUT you can act in a way, which minimizes the chances of being noticed or being blamed. See a woman or girl? Cross the street! This is your contribution to improving YOUR life and the life of all the boys in this world. This is hard, but this is the way to save this civilization. MGTOW.

Both sides have whiny bastards, and the other side try to convince everyone that they are the majority. Which is not true at all. Where I live, in Hungary, the Party won because of a two year hate campaign against something that never existed in Hungary: migrantion crisis. Also, I don’t know where you got that but I don’t often see ant-jews on the left but on the right.. ooh boi. A lot. Maybe not you, but there are a lot. I tried to reply to most points but going in to every little detail here is not what we want. I just think that political sides have nothing to to with being a man. OhNoItsMicah wrong: there are many ways to put you into plantation, JP has just used one of them on you. Now you will serve your master and will not ask questions about any other way.
      Here is the other way:
      MGTOW in most cases is the right answer to the insane circumstances we are in: you can not blame society for attacking you because of your identity (white male), BUT you can act in a way, which minimizes the chances of being noticed or being blamed. See a woman or girl? Cross the street! This is your contribution to improving YOUR life and the life of all the boys in this world. This is hard, but this is the way to save this civilization. MGTOW.

      S p I don’t know exactly what you’re going through. And I won’t make any religious comments, because that only applies to you if you want it too. But at the very base of humanity and the reason why many people argue we’re put on this earth is to build and develop relationships with friends, family etc. A lot of the time suicidal behavior stems from bad relationships. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this video is introspection. You have to first assess your role in the relationship and go about identifying problems and seeing it through until you find your solutions. It won’t be easy it may take time. But if you can make the relationships in your life work and one day build a family of your own. When you see how you’re perseverance not only brought joy but life to other people, than maybe you’ll understand why life is so precious and every life is worth living.

The word 'your' is possessive, as to denote ownership. "Your attitude is exceptionally condescending for someone with atrocious grammar themselves." Also, the amalgamation of two words, such as 'you are' is known as a contraction. Eg. "You're correcting someone in an exceedingly incorrect manner, and making an ass of yourself in the process." (I'm looking forward to someone scholarly correcting whatever errors exist in my comment actually now, haha.

    Amen.
    Professor of mine at university put it very clearly:
    What is the common factor in all of your problems?
    You are.
    You can’t change everyone/everything else. But you CAN change how you respond to them.
    Embracing this instead of fighting it leads to success. My uncle fights this every day of his life, and he lives in poverty. He can’t improve his situation because “it’s not his fault”. In my case? Embraced the market, embraced the vagaries of life, embraced my personal responsibilities. What happened? Paid off the student loans early. Healthy 401k. New car in the garage now. Happily married.
    Life sucks and cancer tries to rob me of life. But instead of whining about it and blaming everyone/everything else, asking “how can I best respond to this” has led to even greater success and respect from my peers.
    Take it from someone who has lived it, in good times and bad. Putting down the pointing finger and working on how you, yourself can respond constructively to the situations at hand WILL make a dramatic improvement in your life.

    "You can't change the world, but you can change yourself." Man, I grew up with a good strong father figure and always knew, for the most part, everything Dr. Peterson said in this video. I'm probably worse than the entitled, professionally oppressed, cry bullies this message is meant to change. Even knowing the basic principles of this message I farted my 20' and most of my 30's away hoping "things will just work out." or "I got some time I'll do the boring hard stuff tomorrow." Before I knew it 15-20 years of the best part of my life was spent doing the bare minimum. The hilarious thing about doing the bare minimum is that if that's all you ever do that bare minimum will get harder and harder while the level at which you need to be at to catch up spirals up and out of control. I knew all this and still ignored it all. Learn from this. You aren't "the exception." You aren't going to "smart" your way out of it. I have an IQ of 142, never has it been purely enough to get by on. Everything worth having required my intelligence PLUS hard work. Don't repeat my mistakes. I'm now a widower with 6 kids ages 17 to 3 and while they have what they need, they have very little of what they want thanks to me. Life is suffering, so don't throw it all down the road to deal with later you only have to ensure more suffering at once eventually.

      I wonder when somebody is going through hard times does that person gets a little encouragement? It's hard to pick oneself up when we get hit by bad times, making something at that point is hard, it takes investment man, either time or proper guidance.
      Just little bit of encouragement at what we try to do during those gruelling times may change the whole situation.
      Dr P has rightly pointed this out.

    Fixing yourself is a key component of the Christian worldview

    • @MouseGoat
      @MouseGoat 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      yes the good part, but... earth is still round, evolution is a ting, good morals dont come from the bible, and climate change is a sirius problem we really need to adress.
      fixing oneself is great but it critical thinking understanding of the world is something that is only gain tho education.
      and not something i have seen Christians do a lot of.

    • @WhatsTheTakeaway
      @WhatsTheTakeaway 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Nekogami-Crystal Um, tons of Christian Universities. You have no idea what you are talking about. You obviously dont have children, or you would now morals are taught. Who taught them to you? Who taught them to that person?

    • @MouseGoat
      @MouseGoat 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Im not saying Christians dont have Universities, what i mean there was critical thinking goes against the natrur of religion,
      tho the hole idea of a Christian Universitie, is a bit absurd, most christians dont even know whats in the bible, so what are they learning at Universities? Universities/school was also made for science, you can call it cristan all you want, science is still about learning math and real world facts, not so much about invisible sky dads.
      Any ways seeing as both my parent are atheist, and have had a rather limited interaction with any Christians in my childhood. I can tell you that it was not from the bible that i learned my morals.
      but learning morals really easy, "the golden rule do to others what you want others to do to you. is the one simple rule all good morals is build on." and all you need to have to learn that is other people and compassion, things most humans a born with (and you need if you want to work as a team)
      But this can ofcose go wrong because people are different and have different ideas of what they like and don't like.
      That's why we figured we would write down all the things we all could agree upon into a big book.
      And this is how you make a rulebook for a society/culture.
      This book could be written 2000 years ago in a desert, sure, but would rather follow a book written close today, like the constitution, and the book petersen have made with 12 Rules for Life.
      And ultimately the real good way in deciding if something is morally right or wrong is to simple aks: will this benefit mankind's *survival? say yes, and it's a good moal, say no and its not.
      (*not that for logical reasons survival without happiness would not really be survival at all, therefore its mankind's survival + happiness)

    • @MandoFettOG
      @MandoFettOG 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nekogami-Crystal the question to ask is not how YOU learned the morals. It is why do these morals exist if Christianity is a farce

    • @calving979
      @calving979 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Round earth, evolution, and climate change have nothing to do with Christianity. Don't know where you got that association.
      Also, while it's true that you don't need to read the bible to have good morals, there's no basis for good morals without some sort of god. Empathy and evolution can only go so far as to explain ethics.

    And even if you are truly a victim in some way, do everything that you can to make things better and after the fact don't dwell on it. For example say you get robbed. You would want to call the police and do as much as you can to get your stuff back but when there is nothing left to do don't spend your time thinking about how the world is out to get you.

    • @wolfemme430
      @wolfemme430 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Matthew Stoicism teaches a lot about this; working on what you can, then not dwelling on things you can't change.

    • @anonymousperson8301
      @anonymousperson8301 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      In that particular scenario someone was actually out to get you. Therefore your argument contradicts itself.

    • @poketopa1234
      @poketopa1234 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes but what if you got robbed every month? Then do you have the right to blame the system? Injustice isn't something that happens just once

    • @Matthew-.-
      @Matthew-.- 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Anonymous Person No it doesn't. I'm not arguing that no one is out to get you or that they are, I'm just saying if you dwell on the fact that it happened to you then you will never be happy.

    • @Matthew-.-
      @Matthew-.- 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      poketopa1234 I don't know what you mean by "robbed" and "system". How is the system robbing you, and what system is it? My guess is that you'll either have to look at it from a different perspective and accept it or work to change it. You still can't dwell on it though because that will only lead to unhappiness.
