Here in Boston Massachusetts we have some nurses this incredible. During a massive hurricane when the streets had flooded and even the hospital generators went out, they manually pumped oxygen into the lungs of the infants from the NICU by counting the seconds from one breath to the next as they carried the babies through the flood waters, trudging through water well past their thighs at times, to get them to the only part of the city where ambulances were able to drive to and every infant survived because of those nurses. These women who look out for the most vulnerable among us, regardless of where they are in the world, are the capeless heroes of the human race. 💪🙌 Well done ladies!
When i was a med student, I didn’t really know the role of nurses that much. But now being a doctor, I have huge huge respect for nurses. They are the unsung heroes. They care for patients like their own children and family. Nurses are angels. Lots of love Nd respect

I know a nurse who went to turkey with painkillers, bandages and more.. she was not let in, neither the stuff that she brought with her. She was sent back to my country and even threatened. She video recorded the incident.
As a NICU nurse myself my heart is breaking for these sweet babies and these nurses. I can’t imagine how scared they were for so many reasons but I have mad respect for them and am proud to be part of the nursing profession I have met so many amazing families in my career and amazing mentors (angels) too. Prayers 🙏🏻 for the people of Turkey. I have no words my heart breaks so much loss and devastation. 😢

Babies and small children are very tough & resilient though. They are the only ones to survive plane crashes & many survived the earthquakes too. My heart also melted when they pulled kitty kats from the rubble too. Poor things! They also suffered for days under the crush with no food or water.

They could have gotten crushed at least the inhibitors would have provided armor for the babies. If it was true heroism they would have grabbed the babies and tried to escape the death trap before it falls

This deserves 100% RESPECT AND RECOGNITION!!! As a mother myself I honestly cried when I seen this. It's nice to see medical staff that genuinely care about their patients and put their own lives at risk for those babies.
I hope their parents made it alive. I don't want to be pessimistic but the odds are so low. Especially Gaziantep, we have such a high number of dead people we don't even trust if we know the real number or it's just half of it.

A tornado touched down and made it's way through downtown Columbus, OH the day I was born at Grant Hospital. I've heard that all hospital staff rushed us newborns to the basement and new mothers were in a panic. We were thankfully spared. I wish pure blessings to the people of Turkey. Sending my love from Chicago.
@@LadyEliza7 My Husband was a Police Officer. We heard a crash outside and it sounded like two cars hitting each other, we go outside and nothing. A few minutes later we find out someone hit a 10yr old walking. Long story short my Husband grabs the medical bag, the child is under a parked car, I crawl underneath, the side of his head was gone, I get him half way out and hold him, he kept looking at me calling me momma, I just rocked him. He was gone before the emergency crew got there. I went to the hospital to let his momma know, he didn't die alone he was held the whole time. They never found the monster who killed him. My Husband was murdered six years ago. I pray he didn't suffer. We'd been together since I was 14. Bless you❤️
@@LadyEliza7 Without putting too much info on here it was a brutal scene. I didn't want the grieving mother to feel like her son was just left to die alone, I wanted her to know he was held and rocked. I could tell in her voice it meant so much to her and their family.
