The dynamic zoom cannot be changed as far as I know, there are plugins like Mcamrig that do allow it.
I use that plugin but with the last update now it gives me errors, so right now I can't recommend it to you XD

Holy mother of 8lb 3 oz baby jesus, i've been looking for a video like this for weeks! I've seen so many youtube videos that zoomed to one side and they were using adjustment clips with keyframes and I suck at visualizing how to do that. This changes the ball game for me.

Estoy tratando de editar un video para TikTok, por tanto el clip que importe se ajusta unicamente el ancho y se centra verticalmente de forma automatica, hasta ahi todo bien, la cuestion es que cuando trato de hacer zoom con este metodo, o con zoom dinamico el tamaño del video aumenta, incluso se sale del marco si le cambio la posicion. Lo que quiero es hacer zoom y poner foco en una persona especifica que esta en el lado izquierdo del clip. No se si debe a que el video no ocupa todo el espacio. es posible hacer eso con estos metodos?

What about when the video is portrait? I have Davinci in portrait mode put the dynamic zoom resets my clip to horizontal when wanting to adjust the green and red boxes.

Bro your video is always amazing and i addicted to it. Keep it up. Really help me a lot to transition from Premiere Pro because, you know, the effect library (transition etc) is so much vast in Premiere so your video really help to step by step transition to Davinci

Will the zoom affects the resolution as you zoom in? I notice mine does. It gets pixelated the zoomed in I get. Is there any solution to maintain the resolution while zooming in?

Well I had no idea about the rectangles. Thanks! One point or perhaps question: I've found with using dynamic zoom the speed of the zoom is dictated by the length of the clip. For short clips I get a very fast zoom. Any way of modifying that outside of changing the speed of the clip?
Put a cut in the clip where you want the effect to end.
for small clips it's better to just keyframe zoom and position.

Make a cut in the clip where you want the zoom to start, and then apply the zoom only to that section.
does this work for the free version as well? because I seem to not be able to find the arrow that leads into the manually modified part of the dynamic zoom
I am almost sure that it is available, I would be very surprised if the zoom was not in the free version, since it is a very basic function.

no, it is a free function, make sure you are in the editing module
When I tried this the black bars on the bottom and top of the video got bigger or smaller as I zoomed in or out. How do I fix this? Thanks so much!
Hi, I imagine that you have applied the black bars through a .PNG image, check that you do not have dynamic zoom activated in the black bars clip.
Someone pls tell me how to grab the smaller box without moving the bigger one. I'm getting frustrated with moving the other one while trying to move the one I want. There's like a 1px area to select the box :(
you can cheat by selecting the dots of the smaller box, then you can select inside the smaller box to grab it

how do you not animate it just like real quick small part of the screen
Doesn't work for me. Every time I click to adjust dynamic zoom on the screen, the red and green boxes are much smaller the the video box. I've tried everything but when I hit play whether it's zoom in or out, the video box is always tiny with a huge black border 🤷
