Grew up in Lawrence. The police are top notch. Crazy to watch a chase like that in the streets you grew up on.
Living 25 minutes down the road, it is wild to watch this take place with such familiarity. Excellent work.
@@ParissaKhoury You see so many police chases all over the country, but it's just a little surreal to see it happen in a setting you're familiar with.
When I seen the dogs face it made me cry, he looked scared to me. I can’t imagine being involved in a chase like this. Glad no one got shot. God bless the two men’s family’s who lost their loved one. 🙏🏼❤️
This is what the did is trained to do, it is what they live for. They get super excited and happy, it means they are finally getting a chance to do the thing they do, the thing they are rewarded for, the thing they enjoy. Do you know anything about dogs? Usually when a K9 unit starts giving chase you can hear the dog in the back giving excited little whimpers and yaps because he is so excited and ready to start chasing someone down. It is a chance for them to use the instincts nature gave them, they love it the same way hound dogs love tracking a scent.
@@justforever96 Cool. Then make it a game. Don't use them to chase criminals. They will be at risk of injury or death. The people that really love animals don;t use them for their own benefit while putting them at risk. That's a fact.
I'm totally against using dogs as k9.
@@justforever96 are you Dog Boy?
they should have unleashed the hound!
@Hit and Run 100% correct, complete misread on the puppy...he wanted to run and bite that guy so bad he was drooling at the thought. Gotta admit, so was I.
I loved everything about this, from the well behaved K-9, to the highly trained and experienced officers, to the drone footage, and all of this with an active shooter fleeing, and nobody got hurt. Kansas, you get five stars and two thumbs up for this from me. Outstanding job.
I must agree 💯 being a citizen of Kansas. I am very proud to call these officers my officers... So happy to know I have such dedicated, experienced, well equipped officers keeping me and my family safe
yeah that drone was cool to see
To many witnesses and to many body cams for the cops to do what they really wanted.
This makes me happy to live in Lawrence. At first I was wondering which town in Kansas it was, then I recognized where they were. At the beginning they were close to downtown Lawrence.
It was not a active shooter this was a murder suspect in pursuit
Well that's definitely one way to destroy any defense and guarantee you're convicted of those murder charges.
The driving 75 mph to escape and shooting at the cops kinda made it clear too
@@ParissaKhoury you know he’s guilty of the suspected crime because he’s fleeing AND shooting at police. No need to question if he’s guilty of the murder
This is the worst police department in Kansas
Outstanding work!!! Both suspects in custody and no one was injured.
He's a GOOD BOY!! What a GOOD BOOYY!
Didn't bark didn't pull, just gonna lay here and wait for the man to tell me what to do next.
HE'S a GOOD boy!!
These officers risk their lives everyday yo protect our communities. Thank you for ALL YOU DO OFFICERS🚔🚓
🙏❤
Lol only 3 percent of their job is dealing with violent criminals lol. Bootlicking fool
F cops
Fleeing from the police for double murder but uses turn signal…….
Force of habit, maybe.
Way to go guys, one of the coolest jobs ever is being a police officer along side your dog!
I watch a lot of these videos and it’s so eerie to see it happen in your town.
Lol "sorry guys it wasn't personal. Sorry, it wasn't about you." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yep, "We shot at you with live rounds but hey, no hard feelings, k?" Lol numbnuts.
Wish the cop would have replied "Well the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer charges are all about you"
I used to live in Lawrence & have family in Eudora, excellent LEO who work together in every situation just like this. Great job!
Same ole people at it again.
What are you trying to say?
Bro killed 2 people, ran from officers, and shot at officers during the pursuit but at least he used his signal right?💀💀💀
I am so proud of the Lawrence Police Department for keeping Lawrence safe and capturing the suspects Thani u for all u do
Why on these videos does it always sound like the police car is rattling so much that it is about to fall apart?
Probably all the equipment in the car, laptop etc.
Lol the modifications in police cars are nice looking but they all rattle.
Microphone sensitivity, it's probably much quieter in person
Im curious what the cop in the charger dropped out of the car when he stopped, that was a pretty sketchy maneuver, not to mention almost losing control twice hitting the curbs.
@Bowhunters : They were moves to evade being shot. He did hit a curb.
that is called "evidence"...very sketchy.
Looks like something was out the window and the charger lost power
Be careful. You're supposed to have unconditional blind faith in law enforcement or else all the armchair troopers will pounce on you.
I rewound the footage. The suspect did shoot out the window. Hitting the charger. At least it didn’t kill the police officer. The officer in the car was diverting from the suspect car and had to drop out, possibly losing vehicle stability and just didn’t see the curb as it was split thinking for the officer.
Thank you for your service officers.
No
They played it safe to the max.
Absolutely
defund the FBI!
@@calihigh8214 Before I enter your dreams at night.
Dispite a high speed persuit, with shots fired at the police, there were no knees on necks, no punches, no kicking, no Smashing of heads into tarmac, and nobody getting shot! Jaust exemplary policing all around and a peaceful resoloutuin. Great discipline, no panic, clear, consise, non-contradictory instructions, delivered calmly. Policework doesnt get nuch better than this. So if these officers can do it then why can't all officers behave like this? I wonder if there is something physicaly different about the suspects that get shot and beaten 🤔????
Can you elaborate that last sentence? I don't get what you mean by something physically different with the suspects...
I wonder if there is something physicaly different about the suspects that get shot and beaten?
Yes, resisting arrest and doing a wacky waving inflatable tube man impression.
Yeah its crazy what following Officers commands and not restisting the Arrest give a much different outcome for everyone.
Because the SUSPECT COMPLIED. That's the difference. So don't blame it on cops being any different.
@@markstone1619 Yes shooting at the police and engaging in a high speed car chase... Great examples of how to comply with the police fuckwit...
My dog wigs out when I watch this type of content. When the cops start yelling, I just can't help myself, I have to start yelling along.
The guy on the run was a much better driver than any of the cops.
Ehhh cops were better
It's a good thing no one uses that bypass. That's the emptiest freeway I've ever seen!
They had it blocked from the west and east. Normally fairly busy, not KC, Atlanta or LA busy, but way more cars, trucks and semis. This was one guy that wasn’t going to get away. Peace
I don't think there were enough cops on this stop.
They had like 10 police cars and a SWAT truck for 2 people how is that not enough?
"it wasn't about you guys"... He just... shot at you.... a lot. Nothing personal.....
Impressive how quickly they got a drone up in the air and how they used it to check the vehicle. Provides great recap and training video of the take-down, too.
Ok, double murder suspect, shoots at officers during the chase, wide open highway area, and none of the officers on the side of the road lit him up? Must have very restrictive policies up there.
Well trained
Cops aren't the brightest remember !
@@gangoffour6690These one's are
Head on, 5.56 with a magnifier, easy shot. Even if it was just into the radiator (Which will disable most newer vehicles due to a coolant level sensor)
There was some confusion as to the status of the passenger.
I hope the officer who was hit is ok.
Hey, the guy said it wasn't personal. So, you know... it's all good. What more could you want? 🙄
It’s absolutely beautiful how certain people are able to shoot @ police and still walk away and be taken into custody alive
You are correct CERTAIN people. Why is this?
@@aliceaddison1590 Next time u see a cop stop them and ask them & come back & let us know
I think they took him to burger king 👑 before the station
12:49 there's more cops taking part in this felony stop than there is my whole county lol
AWESOME JOB BOYS!!
Can't thank you enough for your service!!!
Well Done! I think the drone is very useful too.
Intense video. The Officers were professional and safety was top priority. 💙🚔💙 Thank you
I'm enjoying your content, openess in plain sight, reality is always more exciting than the movies
Definitely
these guys did an amazing job handling this..great teamwork
I love the fact that the offender indicated at every turn I guess he didn't want to get into trouble with the law ......... 🤷♂🤷♂
