Delta Predator Management Season Begins

The Delta Waterfowl Predator Management Season begins March 15th. Contracted trappers will be heading into the field to help reduce predator numbers by trapping in carefully selected areas of high breeding-duck densities to put thousands of more ducks into the fall flight.

Just curious why are you not using dogproof traps as well? You can put a lot more of them out than just cage traps unless you can not run them everyday

Wildlife agencies should encourage trapping through education and make trapping popular again. Also, creating a demand for fur to improve fur prices and utilization of the resource.

Without Predator management there will be no waterfowl or Prairie Birds nesting on the ground at all
