As a local Malaysian I am always impressed by the videos or TH-cam made by foreigners when they came here for vacations . Your TH-cam is really high quality !
Because foreigners usually have more money to enjoy Malaysia. I'm an American with Malaysian parents and we hardly have done anything in Malaysia the past 8 times I've visited.

Monsoon season coming up! End of October the east coast will be getting ready to close the island trips as waters will be choppy for snorkeling & diving. But good for surfers! Visit the west coast islands instead. Bring a raincoat and a brolly! ☔
Langkawi is one of my favourite islands in SE Asia for sure (and I have been to quite a few in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines). I was there for 1 week in Jan 2017 which was the best time to visit - you went in the wet season; the dry season is between Jan and Apr (very similar to southern Thailand). There are 3 waterfalls on the island (Temurun, Seven Wells and Durian Perangi - seen all of them). Langkawi is very close to Thailand - in fact I did a day trip to Koh Lipe in Thailand, spent 6 hours then came back on the same day. It looks to me that you were at the northern end of the island and I think the beach where you were swimming is Pasir Tengkorak Beach - nearby there is Tanjung Rhu Besch which is beautiful; I stayed in the most popular beach Pantai Cenang. In my own humble opinion, I do prefer Langkawi over Bali and Phuket but love Krabi and Lombok more than Langkawi. In terms of turquoise blue waters, you'll find them off the north east coast of the Malay Peninsula (Perhentian Island, Redang Island, Kapas Island - been to all of them) and of course Sabah in Borneo Malaysia
I love the tropics in the rainy season. The clouds protect from sunburn. The rain does not last long. I carry an umbrella or rain poncho. In rainy season, there's fewer tourists and lower prices. I love tropical rain.
Surrounded by sea and forest, Langkawi's beaches are really beautiful and monkeys and lizards create a beautiful ecosystem here. And Werefall was worth watching.
This is the first time I saw such big lizards in a Malaysian video, they're scary! Fortunately, the beach there is like a wonderland! Glad that Langkawi can maintain its original natural landscape! It's a pity that you go up the mountain when the weather is bad, I believe the scenery there must be more beautiful when the weather is good! In Malaysia , probably , there is a very rainy weather as these are areas which are rainforests ...I have experienced rain there mostly at night during the visit there in Malaysia... It remains warm there always unless visiting a high altitude mountain...

Hold bags very carefully because the police might not catch the thieves to return the bags for their owners . This country has the good and the bad but be careful especially for your wallets and passports ...

I stayed in the spot at 2:06 in your video in September and that was called RL Budget Rooms (RL being Rainbow Lodge which is what you mentioned as the name of the place your staying at) and it cost like $14 for an AC room. You might want to check that out (it was a double bed for 2) if your still in Langkawi. Met TH-camrs "Travels on Toast" there. Anyway, have a great one and as always, cheers.

Hey! When you are in Malaysia, you should visit the island on the east coast. Perhentians or Pulau Redang. It is no comparison to the west coast. Nature much more umspoiled, water amazing clear, soft white sand, secludes beaches and so on!

Hi guys if u go to Sabah try to go to Sipadan Island.....it's famous amongst tourist plus d water is crystal clear too...and once u guys there chk out Kundasang district as well...very chill weather and superb view whr u can feel like u are somewhere in New Zealand...chk out both places from Google and especially TH-cam reviews by those who have been to these places....and one more places if ur budget not permitted try to climb d famous Kinabalu mountain...d view from d peak so so so awesome and beautiful....not to sure how much is d fare for foreigners....u can asked bout d fare once u're in Sabah itself....njoy ur travel guys....oh before I forget...Carol u're so so beautiful...I want to have gf that's look like u one day....cheers

Sandy Skull beach. this is a hidden gem of Langkawi, not everyone knows about it especially back in 2019 even when I visited, there were only total 5 or 6 people before pandemic, and of course now with their covid measures, they ruined the whole tourism industry. Another great video
A real shame about the mountain. I have been to Langkawi many times. One of my favourite attractions there, one that I keep going back to, is the mountain. On a clear day, the view is to die for. Never gets old for me. You guys had bad luck. Hope you get a chance to visit again.
