The one thing I like about these videos is the honesty of them, this video when he was putting the blower back in he forgot to tighten the blower wheel so he had to tighten it but recorded doing it showing mistakes happen. How many other repairman would show them making a mistake? They would just edit that part out because they want people to think they are perfect. That’s why I like his videos

Agree, would have been funnier though if he didn't catch it and fired it up 🤣. Like that one time out of a hundred you forget to discharge the cap and it's loaded or your checking voltage to the the transformer and accidentally slip and hit the AHU wall🎆. Came across a unit that was shorted but somehow not kicking neither the disconnect or inside breaker. Lucky for me it was night and dark, I could see arcing on the case of the condenser.

I know the feeling...usually after two trips to see a customer for the same thing it completely makes some sense to waive the trip fee and only charge them for installing the parts. That at least provides them with much consideration that the issue wasn't caught before and even though the cap/motor were reporting "normal" readings...they weren't putting out consistently. those dang filter manufacturers should figure out a better way to support the media in some of those single returns due to the high volume those blowers are moving. Either that or someone could stretch some wire across the backside of the filter frame to frame to keep it from collapsing.
Best part here is the service call found the problem even though the motor was "functioning" but not normally.

Maybe you can put the studs you remove from the motor into the new motor box since it is garbage per se. I know you sweep out the back of your truck and running one of the studs over might not cause you a flat, but might cause a motorcycle a flat. Just in case one stud is moved onto your rear bumper step and falls onto the motorway. Hard find that bad motor great job Curtis.

0:33 - I must be watching enough of your videos, because even I recognize the home.
16:33 - AHEM! 😠 Spraying water near an open meter panel might not be the best idea! **wags finger in a scolding manner** If I wanted to watch someone risk electric shocks, I'd go watch Mehdi (ElectroBOOM) or some old videos from PhotonicIndution.
It's always a relief when an intermittent failure occurs when you're there... Hard to track down a problem if it disappears.
The TV and the music going simultaneously reminded me of why I hated going to parties with my friends. The music's on, they start talking, then they can't hear the music so they turn that up, but now they can't hear each other talking so they raise their voices, but then they can't hear the music anymore so that gets turned up, and then the music is loud enough so they now have to shout to be heard, which means in order for me to chat with anyone else there, I have to yell too... That's when I'd then go outside for some sanity. 😆

It doesn't take an HVAC person to tell you this... basing the decision on amps... that isn't right. If you have the equivalent HP output with fewer amps? That is a win. If they're running HVAC a lot... that might save them $10-15/month by dropping the amps that little bit. The HP is what it takes to turn that blower fan... and the RPM rating.
For your own sanity... you need a tripod or something else to mount the camera and lighting. You're struggling through so much to make these videos for us. I know my last comment sounds like a criticism, it is just feedback. But I do love watching your videos and appreciate what you're doing.

I am surprised that you did not just replace the capacitor, just to check, since the motor spun freely. Had you done that then you could have done an amp draw on the motor to verify its condition. You possibly replaced a motor that did not need to be replaced causing the customer unnecessary excessive cost. The capacitor WAS out of range for sure. Proper range is 10% over and 5% under. That capacitor was 10% under. Can't give a thumbs up on this one. Just my opinion.
