  • This Prawn Linguine is one of Jamie’s speedy dishes from 15 Minute Meals, and it’s so good! The layers of flavour from cinnamon, saffron, chilli, garlic & lemon give an unexpected, but very welcome twist on a seafood pasta dish, and you really should give it a try!

      We third world country dwellers had to do it without the fancy stuffs. Really all you need is a stove, a pan, and something to stir. Go to local market. Be creative.

      Fyi, you can make some very creative meals using a waffle maker! Esp, all types of potatoes and veggies. You keep chugging along, eye on YOUR prize, and you'll get there soon enough.. My lean days as a student made me truly appreciate beautifully tasting foods, among other things!

    Boil linguine.
    Make pangrattato: 2 slices of bread + 2 cloves of garlic + 1 tbsp olive oil whizzed in a food processor to crumb stage. Put in hot pan and toss every so often till brown and crispy. Remove onto serving dish.
    Make sauce: Fry chopped red chili, 4 anchovy fillets, pinch of saffron, prawns, garlic and a pinch of cinnamon. Pour a jar of passata and squeeze 1 lemon in. Add pasta and stir into the sauce. Shave parmesan on top and sprinkle with basil leaves.

    The most beautiful thing I’ve learned from Arabic cuisine is that cinnamon goes with everything 😋😋😋 salty or sweet it will only improve things. You can also add a little to your White Sauce spaghetti and Will be SPECTACULAR. Try it on your eggs with some red onions, cumin and black pepper DIVINE, try it in your meats and Voila! 😋😋😋 always subtle and earthy heartwaring flavor

    I've just made it and I found the taste kinda strange... Does anyone else have the same problem? Probably i've put a bit more of anchovies or saffron. Or maybe it's because of cinnamon, have no idea but it did't taste good after all. Also doesn't this tomato sauce need to be cooked a little longer?

    • @rraem1043
      @rraem1043 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just use a pinch of cinnamon. Instead of anchovies, I substitute them for a bit of fish sauce because that's what I have on hand and a small pinch of turmeric instead of saffron (again, it's just what I have on hand). It always tastes wonderful. I assume you may need to use smaller amounts of anchovies, saffron and cinnamon. I do cook the tomato passata a bit longer.
