I have the older version of this jacket from like 2013 and still use it to this day. I use it for fall/winter/spring. I've stretched it into late spring but it becomes uncomfortably warm in it. In the winter I just throw some base layers on under it and tighten down all the straps and I am good to go. Definitely a solid jacket in my opinion.
Hey Revzilla, can you tell me or link a video where i can see how the Bio-air Ce level 2 shoulder and elbow look like? I just bought this jacket and i have black Ce level 1 shoulder and elbow protection in it :(
Yes, the elbow and shoulder armor are removable. You may need to access the pockets from a zipper at the inside lower back of the jacket. That accesses the space between the outer jacket and the inner mesh liner. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla I eventually washed it with the elbow protectors still inside. The shoulder are manageable to get out but still a hassle. Taking out the elbow's is doable but I saw no possible way of inserting them back inside as the only acesss point to them is behind the liner, where you cant even actually see them (!) and you cant access from the arm opening, because it's behind the liner. I hope I didn't do damage while washing it with it. Very bad design by alpinestars, I love their products, but this is some retarded shit. How do they expect people to put it back inside?
marc Passed the written test at 100%, and passed the skills test at 100%! Absolutely zero prior experience, if you don’t count 50 hours of TH-cam tutorials and practice tests lol.
It says in the description: Pockets for optional chest and back protection (sold separately), I just can't find these chest pockets for the chest protectors...can someone please tell me what I'm missing here plz.
You access the pockets via the zipper on the lower inside back of the jacket. Here's a quick guide I put together for another Alpinestars jacket. It should be the same with this jacket. -DrewZilla *imgur.com/a/gnUNo
It's not actually accessed via that lower zipper. Just above the internal pocket on the right side in the mesh liner there is a little access area. You'll feel the velcro for the pocket. Took me a bit to figure this out.
RevZilla thanks a lot man! Another question, I’m looking for a nice sporty fit, a bit tight around the waist and such. I have a huge upper body and a small waistline so I’m looking for a really athletic fit, for this reason i prefered the enforce over the tgp r v2 wp. Would you say the hawker has a similar athletic fit to the enforce? Hope to order the right jacket soon!
No, the design of the vents is so that water will still bead off instead of making its way in to the exhaust vents. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or CS@revzilla.com. Ride safe, Pat
Hey, question for you. I've been rocking the summer version of this jacket for a few years, through the Virginia winter with layers and heated gloves. I do as well have a pair of winter pants from Alpinestars this will be paired with. Currently looking to get a winter jacket finally, and I'm comparing this to the T-Jaws WP. I'm more leaning towards this jacket as it seems to offer higher protection than the T-Jaws WP for marginally more in cost, should I expect similar winter performance considering? Thank you!
Thermal insulation is about the same for both, and you're right that this jacket provides a bit more protection than the T-Jaws. Therefore, I would recommend the T-GP R v2 WP. -DrewZilla
If I rock the Alpinestars T-GP Pro Air Jacket at size large should i go large on this one too? th-cam.com/video/5XknLMenPLs/w-d-xo.html This is the exact one
Other day thought I'd watch your jacket an pants reviews, but knew I couldn't afford you when you started talking $1600 for jacket an $1100 for pants. I remember homes not costing this much an your talking a coat an pants? Sorry!
No reason to apologies Tim, we have options for all price points both high and low. Unfortunately, we only review and sell the items but don't set the price points as that is the manufacturer's duty with how much time/materials/R&D they've invested. If you need some more price point options, feel free to contact one of our Gear Geeks to discuss some pieces at 877.792.9455 or CS@revzilla.com. Ride safe, -Pat

MrJay06 hey man, how cold is your winter? How low can the temperature get before it’s too uncomfortable to ride in this jacket? Thanks !
Can you fit a tech air 5 vest under this jacket??

Would this jacket be warm enough to hold up against weather below 60 degrees F?
It depends on your own temperature tolerance, but I'd say it's good down to 50 or so on a naked bike, maybe even lower. -DrewZilla
How windproof would you say this jacket is? Drystar is considered waterproof, windproof and breathable correct?
I’m 6’3 and weigh 93kg and fit into a xxl - nice jacket 👍🏼
I take my msf class tomorrow morning!

hi, what about T-JAWS V3 waterproof
Is this a good jacket for summer riding? Or just 3 seasons jacket?
It doesn't have much ventilation, so it's not ideal for hot summer weather. -DrewZilla
is 600D poly good enough or should i go with cordura 1000D?
600D is good enough for street riding at legal speeds. -DrewZilla

Hi guys, I’m stuck between this, the enforce or the dainese hawker! What do you suggest for an all season?
I like the Hawker, because the separate liners make it so much more versatile. -DrewZilla

Hi there,
Can you please tell me Pat's waist/belly measurement. I'm 44" on my chest and 42" on waist and I'm struglling with the fitment.
Thanks guys
Pat's natural waist is 39.5", so while we think you might be able to fit size XL, you may need to go up to size 2XL. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla does the ce level 2 shoulder and elbow armour inserts are included in this jacket or do i have to buy seperately?
