Street looks on the outside, MotoGP protection on the inside. Alpinestars made their T-Missile jacket compatible with their state of the art airbag system to create the T-Missile Tech Air Race (Tech Air Race airbag system sold separately). Tough textile construction flows ample air for top ventilation performance, with flex panels throughout for maximum mobility. Of course, the T-Missile carries a full armor complement, with CE 2 protection at the elbows and shoulders, plus provisions for CE level 2 back protection and CE level 1 chest protection (back and chest protectors not included). Heading into foul weather? Opt for the Drystar version for protection from the elements too.
I really wish you would have done separate reviews of the Air and Drystar versions.
The dry star version is one of the best jacket ive ever owned! 100% recommend it!
How tight is jacket on your shoulders while standing? I can't figure out if S or M fits me better for the T-Missile jacket
@@MosesTheExplorer it honestly just feels like a normal jacket, its true to size! Hope that helps!
@@WhyteBoyy I feel my shoulders being pushed down while standing, constant pressure. I can tolerate it, but compared to the Revit jacket that I'm trying, it feels tighter!
Thank you
I just picked this up with the tech-air race vest. My wife hates me riding, but she thinks it is dirt cheap to keep me around and out of the hospital. After reading about this tech-air stuff for a while, I tend to agree. I use air-bag type technology in my backcountry skiing (Black Diamond Jetpack) and it's saved me from a slide that could've easily buried me deep. If you're going to do something that isn't exactly safe, then you may as well go all in for whatever is the most advanced safety tech. Can't wait to get it from you guys!
Do you know if they have a perforated leather version?
Just some feedback on sizing...I tryied this jacket (I mean wearing and deployement of the airbag) at EICMA in Milan last November and I had to go with size L (the M size was really really overtight) typically I'm a size M or EU50 (UK40) in all the brands (jackets and one piece suit)I had up to this day. I have the GP TECH V2 Tech Air Leather Jacket and I wear the size EU50 (UK40) with no issues a bit tight in the beginning but it then give away and it's a perfect fit now.
Thankee good sir
Will it work well with the new tech air 5? Can I connect it with the jacket or does that only work for the race vest? Like the leds on the arm
how is the abrasion resistance on the material compared to say an icon contra 2 textile?
Can I use for winter around 45-60 degrees but wearing a liner inside?
hey is this also good for summer (>~90°F /30°C)? if not what you would take? ty
I'm considering T-Missile against the Revit Traction Jacket? Thoughts?
The Revit Traction seems more relaxed and comfortable, but I'm not sure which model has better protection overall!
How much airflow is lost with the airbag? Not sure if i want the air or drystar trying to figure out airflow / comfort for midsummer but really want the 3 season. I suspect the drystar is going to be too hot especially with the airbag.
My husband always wears Alpinestar. Purchased this to replace one after going down. This runs about one size smaller compared to other Alpinestar jackets (without air system).
Also how do you remove pads and armor for purpose of cleaning?
This model is listed as discontinued on the Revzilla website - do you know what model replaces this jacket? I like the fact that it was a strong mesh jacket with CE Level 2 armour and Tech Air 5 compatibility...
No direct replacement just yet, but Astars may launch something in the near future. If you are OK w/o the WP liner, the T-GP Plus R v3 Air Jacket would be a good option, that you can upgrade the armor to CE2 Nucleon Flex Pro for less than the T-Missile.
Also - for what its worth - basically all new Astars jackets are Tech Air 5 compatible, since it has nothing to do with the jacket outside of the jacket having a good amount of stretch for deployment. The T-Missile was Tech Air Street compatible meaning it had plus to accommodate the Street version specifically. If you are looking to use the Tech Air 5, almost every new Astars jacket will work with that unit.

Hi I am a short guy (5 foot 7) with a short muscular build. I have 44 inch chest and 34 inch waist. Which size do you recommend for me for the drystar? Thanks
Does it have wind protection?
The waterproof Drystar version has wind protection, but the mesh "Air" version does not have any wind protection. -DrewZilla

can you help me: I have a Alpinestars Revenant jacket.
I also use a Alpinestars Tech-Air STREET with this jacket
But now I want to buy Alpinestars T-Missile Drystar. (U knowe, for summer and city riding).
But:
can I use a Alpinestars Tech-Air STREET vest in both of these jackets?
or Alpinestars T-Missile Drystar is compatibile with Alpinestars Tech-Air RACING only??
thank you very much for the hint.
Unfortunately, the T-Missile is only compatible with the RACE version as you suspected. Instead, consider the Tailwind Air for Tech Air STREET. -DrewZilla

I think I saw a piece somewhere that zips onto the jacket and had belt loops.
that was tech air vest
Rajinish09 No, I mean a small stand alone piece of material that zips onto the jacket zipper and then has belt loops on the bottom.
at what time ???
Does the T missile drystar have a thermal liner?
No, it does not have a thermal liner. -DrewZilla
The T-MISSILE AIR JACKET is good for Summer and mid-season?
Yes, it is good for temperatures above 70F (21C). -DrewZilla

Im goin to buy the new tech Air 5 so I’m looking for a compatible jacket , right now I’m wearing a alpinestars fuji leather jacket in 54(xl) which is pretty tight. I live in Germany , so I might be better with the drystar, as usually there’s quite some wind and rain even though i try avoid driving in bad weather conditions. The dry star got only ce level 1 protection for elbows? And what size would u recommend ? Will be a 54 fitting tight still have enough room for the airbag to deploy safely? Thank you 🙏🏻
This jacket has CE2 Bio Air armor at the Elbows and if a 54 fits you tight in the Fuji, it will likely still be tight in the 54 in this jacket. If you can fit a loose hooded sweat shirt under your current Fuji, you should be just OK with a 54 and the Tech air system in this jacket. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to our Gear Geeks at cs@revzilla.com or 877.792.9455. Ride safe, -Pat
RevZilla it says on their product site that the drystar jacket only got CE level 1 protection! Thanks for the help!
Can the tech air street fit in the race jackets like the missile.
Unfortunately, it cannot. The Tech Air Street can only fit in jackets designed for it. Jackets and suits designed for Race version can only use the Race version. -DrewZilla
RevZilla oh really the local shop and a guy that has the vest says the street vest will work in the missile jacket
What’s the difference between the race best in street mode and just the street vest ?
Alpinestars states officially that the race and street vests are not cross compatible even if they seem to fit across street and race models. The street vest uses two cords, while the race vest uses one cord. With the race vest in street mode, it functions the same as the street vest. -DrewZilla

Drinking game: Take a shot everytime he says tech air vest 😂
no way this stays dry along the zipper (the drystar version i mean)
Hi, I'm leaning towards this Alpinestars jacket but I was wondering if there's a better option for me that is also a sports cut (Alpinestars).
I need high-end protection, replaceable armour inserts for level 2 forcefield, some reflectivity, removable thermal liner(not too important) also I don't care about tech air race compatibility
Thanks
If you don't need the airbag compatibility, then I recommend the T-GP R v2 WP Jacket. It has great abrasion resistance, includes CE Level 2 shoulder and elbow armor (but could still be swapped if you want), reflectivity on the chest, upper arms, and back, and a removable thermal liner. -DrewZilla

Where is Buzz Saw?
_"He's right behind you!"_ -DrewZilla
huh?
Because of Buzz Saw, he helped me figure out how my first ever tour of "The Linc" when we were visiting back in early August 2017. Ever so grateful!
Half this video is just talking about the airbag vest.
Talk about the fuckin jacket man. We would watch the airbag video separately if we cared.
