This has been by far the most valuable content so far! Paul Akers and his "Keep it simple" mindset is remarkable. Find the problem and money is a byproduct is such a great way to think. Many people try to figure out what businesses make them money instead of thinking about the true reason for the product which is to create something people have to have! Love this! Thanks for sharing!
Part I & II were totally worth the investment in time! Paul Akers is a Force! His energy and enthusiasm are palpable. Kudos on yet another fantastic video UpFlip!
Hands down the best content of business ideas I have ever heard. Solve a problem that bugs you. So simple and yet so powerful. Thank you Paul for your innovation. Love it.
I do believe that Pual Akers, even though he wasn't successful back when passing the school exams , noe he is that great example of how my business teacher should be . Great lessons my friend.
Guys I want to applaud your efficient efforts here........ I’m noticing the inspiration level and momentum that follows hitting the mark big time! Excellent work!
Wow found my strategy and my new hero! Thanks for clarifying what I have been doing all this time without the validation of this is how to do it. Amazing! Thanks
Thank you both so much for this amazing video’s - This is giving so much inspiration on how to look at so many things in a different, more simple manor!!!
Very true tomtom. Thank you for the feedback. 😀Service is something that keeps a customer coming back time and time again. What do you feel are other aspects that are just as important when starting/ running a business?
@@UpFlip Thank you for the helpful content. I think taking customer feedback serious is also very serious. I work for a major bottling company and its key for us to pay attention to feedback in order to know what our stores want. We make more money and they have the product they desire. Win/win. This is common sense but you'd be amazed to know how frequently a high selling item is moved out of a location to bring in something corporate is pushing. If there is no demand it doesnt matter how much supply you bring in! Lol.
My fav chanel for now.. really trying hard to work on our small biz n we already learn alot after watching ur ohsem vid!! Thank you n all the best..💚❤️
@@UpFlip Yes!😄🙏 He is amazing! But really all your interviews are very good, so many interesting people! This channel is so dense in knowledge, experiences and inspiration. It's such an efficient way to learn about business. Thank you so much 🙏
11:55 put a small blade sharpener on the inside of the pocket chisel casing so it sharpens it as you close and open it. Also, make it slightly adjustable so that it can go down as the metal chisel is degraded over time. Always sharp! First one's free. lol
Great product ideas and mind but if its a hot day or you are getting deliveries and those items are attached to the door whilst it's up, there's a problem, you have to close the door to get items again and re-open the door. I love the way he thinks, make things simple and people will want them.
Glad you love this video! Your appreciation means a lot to us and motivates us to continue producing content like this. Do you have a business topic you want to see next on the channel? 🤔
Terrific content. I'm interested in knowing if paul patents all his innovations. I don't know if some of his products even qualify to be patented since they are not inventions per se and they already exist in some other market. If he doesn't patent then I would like to know how he would handle the competition if competitors start copying his products.
4:07 to 4:35 Yes! Bidets are underrated, after living with one, there's no going back. I use melted chocolate in the same point as Paul makes, lol, freaking perfect! It's interesting Paul knows the US market is not psychological/culturally ready, haha.
I have thought and reworked many things in my life often. I worked production and learned lean thinking early early in my life. I thought I was a unicorn. LOL I could listen to this guy for hrs. 😆
I've really enjoyed this video. The way he approaches the problem is so fundamental that we overlook. I had one question though, how does someone protect these ideas from being copied and being widely sold via Amazon/Alibaba?
Thats a great question! We're going to be releasing a video in a week or so with Paul Akers and he explains how he does it, and its not by getting patents.
I have had 2 ideas that I brought to life, created a website and started selling, only to have a big company steal them. The products are now in big box stores. I have another idea, but how do I avoid someone taking my idea again? It has stalled me from moving forward. The past experiences were so disappointing :(
@@krg9942 no problem . Product licensing is what he focuses on Way easier and cheaper than making your own products and selling . You will like the videos. Binge watch a bunch
The videos were very well done. But the largest problem you did not mention is if you come up with an idea you must patent the idea so others do not take that idea and use on their own. This could cost 5k or maybe much more. Then if you patent the product it could become a flop and non sellable.
Good question Dawn! Consistency has a lot to do with it. Never straying awing from the small goals one sets in place and taking action plans to achieve them. What are some things you like doing?
Omg the chisel! Ive ruined so many bags from chisels. My push stick needed a magnet! The track saw mounting to my garage door! Wow i watched the last video & walked in my garage & litterally just said “where the hell do i store that?”
Paul is fantastic particularly with lean. Not so hot on safety with the unprotected edge at 4:44. That' a 25k fine in my part of the world... Next project for Paul maybe?
Where do you go with your prototype without the designer/manufacturer stealing your idea? What's the best way to manufacture small metal pieces on your own in large quantities?
Could anyone show me the way or give me a helpful info on how I can change my ideas into reality. I have so many ideas, is there an organization or bussiness that I can contact?
Hey Ruth! Sometimes analysis paralysis can be a real problem for idea people. We have lots of great videos for how to start different businesses. Another idea is buying a franchise or business for sale and doing something that already exists - that you don't have to start from scratch. What are you interested in?
As i watching every video of upflip . And your every content come with different idea and different business. But some one like me have an idea to accomplish but failure is also a straight line. Means facing failure is difficult to me because i and just like me have not that much opportunity to wash the failure.. My English is not good .. sorry

Dude whos maintaining the scooters? We have a mechanic shortage. Thats one idea I'm gonna say hell no on, unless your a scooter mechanic. Medical industry is inefficient due to bureaucracy, which you can't change. Talk about grandiose. He says one thing then says the opposite at the end of the video.
Funny, I thought to myself - this guy is over the top and most of his gadgets are pointless. By end of video I realized I own three of them and use them constantly.... Oops.
