As a guy, we train harder than we need to and diet more than we need to in order to achieve the perfect physique. Fitness isnt about being healthy anymore, it’s about looking fit while being the most unhealthy youve ever been. Your body is not meant to have under 10% body fat and lift absurd amounts of weight while being in a calorie deficit and most of those calories aren’t even carbs or vegetables. Being active and having that activity be something youre genuinely passionate about is the key to everything. As a gymnast, i dont train to look good or have the perfect muscle size and portions. I train to have the strength to do the holds and moves properly and i do gymnastics because its legitimately fun to do all the maneuvers. Its like being a kid on a playground again. Having a strong core and upper body as a result of doing gymnastics will get you a good looking physique. Going to the gym where you’re worried about not progressing or having to diet properly is a recipe for burnout, especially if you have a full time job. Engaging in something like a sport after work will make you feel better and actually make you healthier too. You dont have to diet super strictly either. I cant live without mac n cheese man 😂. Im still able to perform my exercises just fine with a bowl of mac every other night for dinner
You have such a balanced and healthy outlook on this, I agree, exercise should be fun and make you feel good, and mac n cheese is so good for your mental health, it's one of my favourites tbh!! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video! I'm pleased that you read my reply and you're open to changing your mind - there's a (paraphrased) quote from Maya Angelou that I love "when we know better, we do better". Being open to learn is a great thing.
