    Thank God, my notch washer fell out and I did not where it was supposed to go.
    This video helped a lot!

    This is very straight forward, thank you. (BTW, you can take an 18mm socket and weld an old hand wrench to it) My rear wheel won’t align perfectly when dropped into the stays. (Probably 4mm to the non-drive side. I don’t see how to adjust this. Any advice? Thanks!

    Offset 18mm box end wrench is a good choice.

    I always dread taking off my back tire of my CCX because it takes a lot of effort to get it to fit back on. It never seems to be easy. I see you had the chain off, does that make it easier? It always seems like the chain and derailleur get in the way as I am trying to fit it back on.

    Does anyone know the name for the wrench he's using? I know it's 18mm, but I can't find it anywhere

      Hey 👋 Here is a link to the tool, we are currently sold out but you can sign up for stock notifications. In the meantime a present wrench in the same size should do the trick. www.juicedbikes.com/products/18mm-rear-axle-nut-removal-tool?variant=37892690834

    Pretty good guidance here, but I seem to have a problem.
    I sent my wheel in for repair/refurbishment and now, putting it back on after a few months, I notice that the drive-side wire bundle exits the hub on the up side whereas it seems it should exit down, to keep rain and moisture out. Did this happen because I have a different wheel or is there a 'trick' you haven't mentioned?
    I also would have liked a parts inventory for the bikes that you mention. My CCX wheel came back from the factory without a couple of washers, I had to inspect the video very carefully to see that I was missing the final flat washer, the notched ones are clear. Explaining and showing clearly the position of the notch is also important. If you do all the work yourself it is obvious that the washers are position with the notch outward, but when you get a wheel back without washers it isn't so obvious.

      It looks like your notch washers are upside down. Take them off the axles and rotated them 180 degrees so that the notch is on the same side as the wire bundle exit. Since the notch is placed to the down side, the wire bundle will exit to the down side too. The guy who refurbished the wheel did not think about that issue when they replaced the notch washer.
      I'm curious what they did when they refurbished your wheel. Did they replace the plastic planetary gear assembly? Was this a service from Juiced or some other party?
      Thanks.

      I did it. Y taking the air out of the tire. It can be difficult to get an Allen key in there but needle nose vice grips can be used to (painstakingly) remove the ribbed cap head screw.

    I should have seen this in September so I would know not to flip the bike. Maybe you could put up a video on how to bleed and refill the hydraulic brakes. (Which I assume is the reason not to flip the bike. It's definitely MY reason.) Nevertheless, kudos for doing maintenance videos!

    • @surfpsych
      @surfpsych 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kevinmorrison1553 It's no big deal. Somehow got some air in the brake line once. Easy fix. Done it a half dozen other times w/ no issue. Juiced recommends not flipping but they must have industrial repair stands.

    Just so you know for the RipCurrent S, you CANNOT remove the rear wheel without the tool you purchase from Juiced. A regular wrench will NOT work. And Lowe’s does it sell them. Even went to a bike shop and they didn’t have it.

    • @juicedbikes
