Just saw them in concert in Vegas last Saturday, 1 February 2025 for the second time in three months. Not an empty seat in the house and they put on a great show. These guys have not lost it and could probably still sell out arenas if they wanted to do so.
When everyone in my High School back in 1983 was listening to Rush & ACDC, the song 'Mad World' just sent me in another musical direction. One of the most talented bands ever, I have been obsessed with this band ever since.
I grew up in Bath and had passing acquaintance with Curt and Ian Stanley. Saw Graduate live then TFF in 81, 82, 83 and at the SFTBC warm up show in Goldiggers Chippenham. Jumped off during the dreadful Seeds album which I still despise but back on board with everything afterwards. I still hang out in Bath at the old places - all gone or changed but have many happy memories of those early 80s days
Wow! I am so glad to hear all this. To have seen Roland and Curt's previous band incarnation, Graduate and TFF way back in the very early days and by the time they got huge courtesy their 'Songs from the Big Chair album'. That's just amazing! Seeds of Love wasn't a bad album at all but there was lot of labour behind getting it made. The end result was a little heavy and a grandiose sounding record. Although I love the album, I thought their follow-up albums 'Elemental ' and 'Raoul and Kings of Spain' in retrospect were even better. By the way, I have been to Bath and to the Moles Club (where TFF played their first show, right?). Greetings from Mumbai, India.
Roland was doing okay without Curt in the 90s (e.g., Elemental was a strong album), but I am SO glad they got back together. The Tipping Point album is some of their best work, and I love the new tracks "The Girl that I Call Home" and "Say Goodbye to Mum and Dad," the latter of which is prophetic.
My all time favorite band! I'm so thrilled they're doing a residency here in Vegas! Curt & Roland, you were part of my ýouth! I love your music as much now as I did then! ❤❤
Both Roland’s beautiful sons look so much like him. Each of their children are super talented. So glad we have these two families. Smith and Orzabal forever!
Incredible, beautiful, intelligent, talented, icons, Tears for Fears synonymous with good taste, sophistication and beauty, I love them, the best band on the planet 🌏❤🥰
Roland put out two decent albums in the 90’s. Break It Down Again, New Star, Goodnight Song, God’s Mistake, Raoul & The Kings Of Spain, Falling Down are nothing to scoff at. Also love For The Love Of Cain from Roland’s forgotten solo album.
I think The Hurting is the best album they did very much like John Lennon's first album and in the same way they both later discounted the idea that what happens in childhood affects your whole life. Very few artists have been brave enough to experiance this....
I've long had a song for TFF, but am too autistic to figure out a way to find them and present it to them. Ah well...too bad. But on January 4th 1986 I woke from a dream in which a song was playing. And i was trying hard to identify it. "Is this Tears For Fears...Depeche Mode.....who is it?". Well after i woke up i was still "hearing" it, and within 5 minutes came to the conclusion it was nothing. I just made it up without trying! Anyway, i gave it the title Catch The Drift. Unfortunately, in addition to my neurology, it was a few years late. Should've happened in 82 or 83. Maybe then i would've hunted TFF down and told them i have a true hit for you. Damn...autism sucks!

The world is a better place with these two as friends.
Yes it is. Loved them then and now too. So glad they are together

1983 - you forgot Let's Dance! That was about the only thing that didn't keep my from killing myself with all of that New Wave garbage coming out.
Songs From The Big Chair is one of the best albums of the 80s
One of my top three favourite bands of all time.

Time for them to play the Super Bowl halftime show . Enough already !!! You know it would be amazing !!
Imagine a half time show with TFF and Depeche Mode? 🤘🏻
I can’t stand American football but I’d be down for that.
If you have the opportunity to see them live, DO IT. They are incredible
booked and they cancelled, but one day...
Can't believe it's been 30 years since Head Over Heels! Time flies indeed.
*40
The world needs these two and their music. So happy they returned and brought us new music as well.
Love these guys! Just two incredible people!

My all time favorite band!

Curt & Roland, you were part of my ýouth! I love your music as much now as I did then! ❤❤
One of the greatest bands of all time!!
It's good to see our boys back together. I'm glad a lot of the groups from the 70s, 80s,90s are coming back.
The best touring band currently in existence. Don't miss them if you get the chance.
Still good. But seeing them with Ian, Manny, Nikki and Will Gregory on sax in 82 was the best.
I pray for them daily. It’s part of the fandom. Loves of our lives.

brilliant band
Roland is a lovely guy and a great singer.
Incredible, beautiful, intelligent, talented, icons, Tears for Fears synonymous with good taste, sophistication and beauty, I love them, the best band on the planet 🌏❤🥰
Exactly!
Incredible musicians all these years. ❤️❤️

Elemental was a decent album.
I love these guys! So many great songs. The first song I heard from them in the 80’s was “Change” and I instantly feel in love with their music.❤
❤ these guys I'm glad you're back 😊
Those guys are the best!
Thank God they got back together 😊 I remember seeing them 1985 in Southampton at the gaumont and what a night 😊😊 been a fan since the first album 😊😊😊
The greatest sounding Rock Band out today!
Love Tears for Fears 👍
God bless the 80s bands
Great talent! Praying for you both!
One of my all time favorite bands!
I LOVE YOU TEARS FOR FEARS❤️💯🎼💃
My favorite band! Funny, Roland doesn’t look today like his older age self at the end of the Head over Heals video 😂😂
I remember Atlantic252 constantly playing 'Sowing the Seeds of Love' Brilliant tune.
Interviewer looks like David Hasselhoff 😮
Lorde sounds like she’s going to throw up trying to sing their song.
“Lorde, Lorde, Lorde…..I am Lorde”
It sounds terrible.
Yea yea yea
I know these 😊😮🙃 -their music is legendary... ❤
My three biggest band from the 80's are Tears For Fears, Depechè Mode and Duran Duran.
I love you both and im from the Philippines, yes, youre tnat Big🥰
One of the best bands from the 80s alongside depeche mode, Duran Duran, and The Cure. All these bands are still making albums and selling arenas.
Awsome ...
Nothing you guys do could ever be considered grubby! 🖤❤🔥
I MISS MY 80s…we are so grey now!!!
They seem close
Why is this posted recently? Their "new album" is from 2022
GAWD i loathed them when they first made it big. 30+ years later my son has them on loop. Sorry Dad lol.
Maybe my fav song ever overall!
Our bro needs some vitamin D pls 🌞
🌹🌹
I think The Hurting is the best album they did very much like John Lennon's first album and in the same way they both later discounted the idea that what happens in childhood affects your whole life. Very few artists have been brave enough to experiance this....
Wow did they get old
That's because it's been almost 45 years since 1981. Time flies.
@@ImEricBro, I see what you did there 😂
@@stevenbulmer6424 Head Over Heels is one of my faves by them. Glad somebody noticed the reference 😁
I'm not a Tears For Fears fan but Shout & Everybody Wants To Rule the World are two songs from the 80's that have aged well... 3:57
Which guys are these?
Roland needs a sunbed session, looks like a host of himself 😀
He doesn't look very well.
Very similar story to OMD😮
Oasis: hold my wonderwall

mullets
Roland looks like if you blew on him, he’d float away as so much dust.
One of my favorite band of all time. But---they never play their best song- working hour.
LOL!
Love Tears For Fears, despise Billy Bush the douche!
They wish they were Depeche Mode…as do Duran Duran🕶️
