  • Today we will look at the Jut Sau plus Low Strike movements in the dummy form. While the low strike is a palm strike on the wooden dummy, it is not a good idea to use it in a real fight, We will discuss why and introduce better applications of the techniques.

It's just to say I did do conditioning on upright metal when palming & when used against person weight 17 stones and when dropped my stance and palmned to his chest did not break or hurt my wrist and he whent back more than several feet and was shocked.
This was hours of training of palming and lowering stance and once with application taught by my Sifu caught him with application and very effective.

I see that low line palm strike as essentially the same as a shovel hook in boxing. Bruce Lee loved the shovel hook. I think because it came very naturally when he started blending Wing Chun and boxing as demonstrated here.

Could you talk about a dummy ? The Hisotry, the idea behind it, and how to chose it, or where we coul buy one ? Thanks for it

That's very useful. You fight the way you train. If you're training to injure yourself you will injure yourself.

2:38 Then maybe we shouldn’t train in the JUT SAO and JEUNG because why train it in if we’re gonna try to use it automatically anyways. Then we break our wrists. Whatever you’re gonna be using as a tool in your own personal self defense get up you should train in the ones you’re gonna use at crunch time. 😉💥💯 so why do palms on the dummy if the dummy is supposed to be getting us prepared to face off someday possibly. Seems like a bad idea. I train in palm hits and punches, BUI GEES and PING and CHEUNG together in tandem.

    Sifu, zhou san a!
Is there any video of yours with a demonstration of things like my late sifu Sam made us practice with sparring partner?
Because there you can show how to fight.
How tall are you? Because I'm 1.70m, and there's a friend of his, sifu Yin, 1.85m long fist from northern area of China Gan Dan kicked my butt like 🤔 before the pandemia, like, 2017 I think?
May be because he also has experience against boxers. Sifu Sam taught me wing chun + boxing. I can't say my stuff was even near his 😬😬😬😞
