      @@Syisulis I believe they drop randomly when killing enemies, likely at higher levels 12+ and the Rank 2 zones you get after clearing story and reaching a certain battle power.

      @@Syisulis might lll is probably drop from a) Dread enemies (aka world bosses) or b)Golden mobs(pretty rare)

      So i never played original PSO2 thus im a NG newbie. I skimmed thru the story and what i wanted to ask is that now that im getting the hang of it i realised i have made many mistakes [class wise, skill point wise( are these even refundable??), as well as fusing a Sword with a partisan which kinda sux). So the question i actually want to ask is if its worth continuing this character that only has 10lvls in his main class and create a fresh one or i will be able to comeback sometime in the future?

    Wow, did my first multi-weapon yesterday (tmg/wand sure maybe not BiS but I'm having fun with it) guess by shear accident my augments are fine for the most part. Precision 1(will change), Dolz 2, and Ael Note D... Thanks for the vid, definitely helped understanding and preparing mutli-weapons a bit better!

    There is also the "same series" restriction that severely diminishes the pool of weapons you can choose from if you want to multi weapon.
    For instance, as a Techer, combining my Wand with a W. Lance is a game changer. Unfortunately, if I want to continue progressing I am forced into using the resurgir weapons, which are ridiculously expensive, as the cheaper, more common 4* wand and w. lance are in two different series. I'd be fine with same rarity, but series is just far to restrictive.

      Yeh its interesting we will have to see how this plays out with future weapon. Updates. Fortunately the stats of 2 star maxed grind are super outclassed like they would have been in PSO2

    Nice vid. After our discussion yesterday and seeing some vids of other gameplay, I decided to switch from multi Wand + Double Saber to multi Wand + Talis.
    It keeps it simple in affixing, as well as the really helpful weapon action of talis being a turret. Now in fights I drop a Talis turret then head in for some bonking, when the enemy is not reachable, moves to much, or just to many too bonk, I switch to technique spamming with the Talis. With Talis multi'd to the Wand it becomes smooth and is free damage/pp regardless of distance.
    Only problem now is what to choose for my sub...

      Well you created a weird fork for yourself :D I would say based on the weapons you want but you are sticking with te weapons.
      So I would ask which weapon wand or talis need to the most support given class skill wise.

      @@Einhander I combined tmg and wand, this combo really fits me since I can just weaken the enemy with my techter and do a lot of dps with my gunner, downside to this though is that I lost 100k n meseta from just combining 1 multi weapon which is ridiculous, they need to make the cost of combining weapons more cheap and I don't really think its worth it for 100k n meseta but I'm happy with my decision since I needed it for the main quest anyways and it would only take me like 2 days to get that 100k back or possibly double that amount

      They really want to eat of your weekly meseta tasks. Price in PSO2 has always been a hate hate relationship. Because it directly impacts the player market.

      @@Einhander Wand of course is main, Talis is supplementary. As of right now, all I get for Talis from the Techer tree is Multirock. When using Force tree as a sub, I grab Tricky Capacitor. Getting Talis Bloom Revoke is a trap unless you only use Talis and don't want to use the alternatives for changing.
      Until there is more on the skill tree for Talis, it's nothing really bad.

      Real talk... any mistakes made is on Sega for not explaining and poor word choice.
      It was fine when it was just a JP game but now we have English speaking sega employees... dropping the ball

    I do enjoy how much smoother multiweapon makes mixed combat. Im hoping sega adds more benefits for using them. A lot of folks arent going to use them otherwise

      I agree. There are things that are limiting and there does not seem to be a reason for it. Gunner Chain trigger and Partisan Volk Raptor come to mind. They might be hesitant as class balance can easily get out of whack, look at the player data, up coming skills and then they might make a decision on where to go.

    So this basically proves my affixing formula to be good? HuGu with Sword/Tmgs Multi-weapon aiming for Might 3, Daityl 2, Secreta 2 or Mastery 3, and Dread Keeper 2. This would give me 16% Weapon up, 12% floor potency bringing my variable to 87~100%, which also covers my sub weapons dmg, and some base potency for the PAs.
    Weapon - Resurgir Sword +40 with Fixa fatale Lv1(+5%Crit chance) + 15% crit chance potential + base 5% crit chance
    Armor - 3 Qual de armor: Arga pieces which gives 4.5% Mel/Rng weapon potency combined and 12pp

      Very nice! The only thing I would see is if you can't find a suitable replacement to Might 3, depending on if you need/want more power going into your TMG. Of course, this is min/max territory but something to consider.

    I feel the best use of Multi Weapons if they are not of the same type, then for utility or PP regen. I roll Double Saber/Talis because there is no reason to switch off my DS, the Talis Weapon Action at least gives me another active PP regen option.

      Agreed im going to get into something I call "weapon clashing" that gets into exactly what you are doing or should I say the things you are carefully considering and avoiding.
      I would say anything with a counter should in most cases avoid other counter weapons, etc.

    I mean if your multi weapon using really just need to think about what your doing it for. As say take a Fi/hu you can get the beat single target melee weapon and PA for single target from dagger with swords best mobbing AOE and it’s Calibur attack 3200 PA for when they go into down state. Which you can chain the ending of Calibur right into the highest Dagger single target PA. Then you have mobility high single target big burst and AOE all covered. Use dagger normal so you can conatnaly dash with dagger weapon technique for easy counters and sticking to targets it’s insane honestly mixing them together! Plus you can use a overload Calibur attack or over load sword PB which is also insane damage!

      Overload only works on fighter weapons. Even in a multi weapon it won't get the dmg bonus only the fighter weapon.

      @@Einhander no it does 💯 I’ve tested it non stop you can’t even pop overload or use the ability with any other weapon besides a fighter weapon. You can be fighter main but it won’t let you even use it with a sword out. Just like tech abilities you can’t use them with out using those abilities the multi weapon lets you use twin machine guns with fire ice and lightning abilities. When you pop overdrive your damage is boosted if you switch weapons you lose it. The fire on your shoulders glow goes off instantly. Yet a multi weapon it still stays on there that’s the whole point of a multi-weapon it bypasses the restriction because the game still considers it a fighter weapon. As long as you use selected fighter weapon first then the other second. If you select sword first it thinks it’s a sword weapon and doesn’t let you use it. I’ve tried it both ways. It 100 percent works

      Exactly. You can't establish things and move the cheese and keep quiet about it. Affixing sucked in PSO2 and they knew that. Which making it simple would make sense.
      They made it easier but they continue to struggle with simplification because have issues explaining things well if at all.

    The cost is a big deterrent for me. Having played PSO2 I know that our gear is going to be replaced constantly over the span of the game. Affixing, grinding, and multiweaponing gear every time new stuff comes out is a giant money sink and honestly makes me not want to touch multi weaponing at all.

      Thats the dilemma with all these type of games. With that said the stat difference between 2 star nd four star isn't super different at max grind. While 4 is still better you could image your 4 star not being outright outshined by 5 or 6 * in the future.
      This is definitely leagues better than PSzo2 even with its flaws.

      When I hit level 10 and could equip my Klauz units, the three of them was enough to put me almost over 1000 BP. At this point, the rest of my BP came from grinding my weapon and leveling up.
      Then, from the Towers I hadn't done. Skill points contribute to BP as well.
      At level 19, using my Klauz units (+10 each) and weapon (+35), with my subclass at 17? I'm at 1293? BP.

    Multi weapon at this point seems really just about utility. Adding rifle to launcher I am able to use the rifle’s evade shot and weak bullet without switching weapons, which is especially handy for me as I switched from using keyboard and mouse in PSO2 to using a controller in NGS. It also seems like a nice resource saver as adding a weapon type seems cheaper than making another one from scratch.
    Overall it’s a bit underwhelming rn, hopefully future updates bring more exciting features to multi weapons 🙏

      You have to think outside the box of your class. I would say rifle launcher does limit things abit. But imagine Launcher + Talis where the talis weapon action acts as a turret refilling PP per hit and you use fear eraser and can hold it for much longer in combination with sticky bomb, as an example.

    i been playing fi/fo using a knuckles/rod multi weapon. I'm using techs as support for knuckles for aoe situations (pse bursts) or enemies i cannot/shoudn't reach with knuckles, like the UQ dragon when he flies or when Bujin does his barrier attack recpectively. So i don't really mind my techs doing less damage because i only using them as a support for when knuckles can't do the job properly.
    Hopefully tho when Bo comes it still retains it's ability to use techs and the trait of it's PAs scaling with Tech pot instead of mel so i can swap to bo/fo instead.

    So you answered my question about augments in this video but I have some other questions:
    1. I had heard in the beta that one could multiweapon a tmg/meleeweapon and be able to have chain trigger (or rather the defining class skill) count for the melee attacks done with that weapon. Is that still the case because if not the rest of my questions are moot.
    2. Does photon blast go off of whatever the base weapon is or is it based on the “one you currently have out”?. Is there some way to set which one it uses in the item lab?
    3. If I am a gunner main class using a tmg/melee multiweapon, do the tmg skills in the skill tree benefit the weapon when it’s being used as a melee weapon? (I guess this is kinda the same as 1 but that was more regarding the defining class skill and this is more about the specific weapon skills)

      1. That was true in CBT Chain Trigger was able to count other weapons. Now it only counts TMG damage.
      2. Phooton Blast reacts to whatever weapon you have active so even in a multiweapon, if the sub is out thats the photon blast you will get
      3. Weapon skills are for that specific weapon only, so TMG wouldnt get a benefit from a skill that is specified for another weapon.

    Good god, that's frustrating. First the 10% subclass nerf, then this. It's both not explained anywhere AND it seems to be nerfing one of the important innovations in the combat system for seemingly little reason (besides class identity, which was mostly a problem with the skill tree?).

      Right I can get the class bonus etc. Because it doesn't matter in a multiweapon when you use a main class bonus you get the benefit. They really wanted to stop people from doing te/hu sword lol.
      But they need to explain this regardless.

    Currently, you dont even need to have the subclass to use the weapon ability from wand/wired lance for example. Lets you use Te/Fo for example for the PP conversion then. Probably subject to change, but its a nice quality of life if you wanna try different stuff.

      Correct weapon actions are fair game. Just be careful as some weapon actions are very class skill dependent. Wired lance is just god tier and doesn't need hunter.

    I don't mean to ask a question so late, but if I run Te/Fo, would a Talis/Rod only have the 10% main class bonus when I use Talis, or would it also apply to Rod?
    I've been spending time trying to figure out a good balance for my build. I use Wand mainly, but I prefer Rod over Talis and would like to squeeze as much mileage as possible.

      The 10% will only apply to talis. The game doesn't recognize weapon order and basically treats the weapon as the same regardless of its talis rod or rod talis. So if you switch to Go both rod and talis would get the bonus.
      Its just a main class thing.

    I'm a bit late, but was wondering if you use a tech weapon as the sub does that enable you to use techs? I.e. I'm Te/Ra and want to use launcher/wand. Or do I need to make wand main and fuse in the launcher in order to actually use techs? Been looking around but haven't seen a definitive answer. Some of the comments here seem to give me an idea, but just want to be 100% sure before I drop 200k on a multi lmao
    P.S. I'm sure just using wand or talis as main would prob be better either way, but I just like launcher and already have a resurgir that's upgraded a decent bit. Not really worried about min maxing.

      So multiweapon order is not an issue as the game treats them as equal. As long as you have a tech weapon in the multiweapon you will be fine.

    So all the damage stat wise is coming from the main weapon on a multi weapon and augmenting the weapon consumed is worthless? Also if it is, is leveling up the weapon consumed by the main weapon in multi weapon also usless, in terms of added damage? Lastly do you know if a sword will benefit from an already augmented melee stat wand when it's placed on it? Haven't made the multi weapon yet.

      Yes, essentially at this time there's no point in putting resources in the sub weapon you will sacrifice to the main weapon. Imagine getting a 15* weapons and having to upgrade it just to feed it to something else.
      Yes the Sword will benefit from the melee augment on the Wand, but the Wand does not benefit from the melee augment as it is a tech weapon for all of its attacks, even the melee wand strikes.

    with the current PAs and that bad idea to change how augments work,multi weapons are essentially pointless like anything I can do with a multiweapon i can just swap to a different weapon to pull off.

      Not true. There are a lot of things that multiweapon allows you to get a way with that completely changes how a weapon can be used.
      For instance the Talis weapon action is a passive PP regen turret. Combo that with Partisan Javelin PA or Launchers Fear Eraser laser cannon + stick bomb and you can hold that PA for much longer as you PP will continue to replenish as you fire.
      You can't do this by swapping weapons as the talis turret will vanish, it does not vanish in a multiweapon.
      Other uses for multi-weapon provide support or cover weaknesses in mobbing or bossing situations.
      You just have to be a bit more conscious of how you are affixing.

      @@Einhander but at the cost you describe it still sounds like it does more harm than good, as a fighter losing any damage for the sake of pp regen only makes the situation worse and not to mention pp isn't even that hard to get back as fighter anyways so it's till essentially pointless.

    As a Ra/Fo with a multiweapon Foursis Rifle/Rod if i want to improve the potency i will need to use both precision and technique augments (along with ael note D and augment that enhances potency in general)?

    Will the augment of the other weapon will be included if combine??

      So in a multiweapon does not carry over augments or anything. Its essentially eaten by the main weapon and everything is based off the main weapon.
      So I would not put resources into the weapon you will be sacrificing.

      @@AA-fp7md yes those dual damage type augments on the main weapon will support the multiweapon.
      Just remember the damage types do not support weapons that aren't of the same type. So you won't be stacking the benefit just making sure both weapons get supported.

    Everything we have will be obsolete when the next major update comes around anyway, so I'll just spend my meseta on collecting cosmetics. It's not like there's any content that requires heavy investment yet.
    I would like to play around with multi weapon ideas, but it's so stupidly expensive that it's just not worth it. Especially as free to play, they're too expensive. At least the cosmetics will never get obsolete.
    I'll just level up every class and get gear that is good enough, since i tend to switch classes constantly and end up without an actual main class anyway.
    That said though, if i was to do a multi-weapon, it would be with tmgs. I just can't think of anything that would actually be useful. Gunner just feels like a complete package by itself... Any suggestions on that? other than wired-lance. It needs to be more useful than just a signel gap closer skill.

      That could be a while as level 35 in "Winter" so who knows what they will throw in in the next few months. With The July event approaching hopefully they will give rewards that will make all this easier.

      you can use the weapon action of the multiweapon regardless of the subclass so you could wired lance for gap close, or maybe use launcher or talis weapon actions as PP generation.

    So I'm assuming what becomes the base for the multi weapon has no impact on the damage of either part of the weapon, right?

      Yes, the weapon itself has no consequence. You will get a 10% bonus when using your main class weapon, but that weapon does not have to be the main weapon in a multiweapon, it just needs to be the active weapon to get the bonus.
      For instance Te/HU Partisan + Wand I still get the 10% bonus for wand. If I switch Hu/Te I now get the bonus for Partisan.

      Grinding PSE burst at the rank2 areas also gives decent meseta. I can get around 20-30k every 30mins in a full map

    Do you keep fixas when unlocking potentials?
    ex:fixa fatale 1.
    & do i have to have 2 weapons with the same fixa to have it on a multi weapon?
    Ex: primm rifle with fixa fatale 1 + primm launcher with fixa fatal 1?
    Or just the base weapon?

      The Preset Ability like Fixa stays on the weapon at all times. You do not heed to have two weapons with the same preset or any preset to multiweapon them. Only the base needs Fixa.

    Hi I'm currently fi/gu with double daggers and was wondering if using the resurgir daggers what would be a good choice to run for more single target dps and what for mob clearing. Cost is making it hard to decide and to find out what actually is good.

      Because catoria doesn't have twin Daggers. Its is probably a safe bet other than multiweapon considerations

      Wand is a tech weapon 100% regardless if you are casting techniques or wand smacks. You will notice wands have a yellow icon, like rod and talis representing tech.

      Thats hard to explain via text. If you go to the salon and go to where you select accessories. You have options to change position and orientation. In that same menu there will be color options.
      Some accessories have more than others. Some might not be changeable but that should be rare.

    I'm really confused on this multiweapon topic. Does having one directly impact or increase your stats? Or is it simply to enhance gameplay, and allow you to switch more consistently to other class weapons while bypassing a few rules? Also are the augments separate or something? Or do you just augment the base weapon, and when making it into a multiweapon those base augments transfer over? Do they stack?

      Multiweapon has no impact states, though it might raise battle power though im not too sure about that as I never paid attention. Its more about gameplay.
      Augments respond to the base weapon so you don't need to upgrade the sub-weapon.the eubweapon is essentially sacrificed..
      With that said, your if your sub-weapon is a different damage type that the base weapon those augments will not support it.
      So you will need dual augments or flat power augments or damage floor potency to support both weapons..

    How viable would be TE/HU with a TMG multi-ed with Wand/Talis o.o? I lose TMG's Photon Arts, still get to use S-Roll.. but get to use TE's full set of PA?

      Yes you would still get Te's PAs. TMG with wand is likely something that will clash as you gain nothing from s-roll arts and it would likely slow down your wand attacks. Now Talis is a different story as it needs a good dodge, though I am not sure the TMG normal attacks are much better than Talis. Im actually thinking of Talis Launcher for the sticky bomb passive that refills PP as thats likely more of a necessity.

    Got a question that might be a little bit stupid but I heard this from somewhere and don't know if it's true or not. If, for example, I am Te/Fi and I put wire lance as the multi weapon on my wand, can I still use that weapon with all the skills of wand and wire lance? Or do I have to have the subclass of hunter to use that multi weapon?

      PAs are class locked, so unless you have Hunter as one of your classes, you can't use the Wired Lance PAs. You can, however, use the Weapon Action even as Te/Fi. You can still use Wand abilities since you are a Techter.

    The only time i multi weaponed in pso ng was a rod with knuckles multi-weaponed onto it so that i can get the fighter's potency skill from the skill tree as it said usable by Main class/fighter weapon and i assumed that it meant Main class OR fighter weapon. it don't work like that... 150k meseta down the drain in the first week...

    Okay so I just want to clarify what you are saying about crits. Do crits always do 120% of your damage or just when that specific hit crits it increases the damage it was going to do by 20%? Ex: if 100% of my damage is a 100 with a variation of 75% - 100% to make the number simple are you saying that if I crit the damage will always be 120 or that a hit that was 75% can crit and do 90 damage? Cause I do believe that the former is true that a crit will just always do 120% of your damage, where like looking at the fixa effect for crit activation, level 4 is 12% which with the always 120% translates to roughly 4.4% potency increase when the variation is 75%-100% where as the later with just a crit does 20 percent of whatever hit only is about a 1.2% potency increase, and comparing that to fixa attack 4 which is 4.5% the first way seems to add up to the way it works. Sadly though upping your potency floor lowers crits effectiveness if that is the way it works as well.

Sadly like I said because of the damage variance raising the floor, lowers crits effectiveness cause the weapon that is the most versatile for multi weapon is the Resurgir which is a crit based weapon so yeah raising the floor will be good for different damage type multi weapons with it but it also will lower the crits effectiveness. So the augments that are general potency should be the main aspect if crit is involved.

      Techter uses both melee and technique damage...melee for the physical strikes and technique for techs and photonic fury. Ideally for techter, you’ll want a mix of melee and technique affixes.

      They simplified things. Wand is a tech weapon for everything. This is different from base PSO2.

    Are we only allowed to use 1 weapon camo per weapon type?
    I tried using Iltheon Dusk on all the weapons it was available for and it only applies to the first weapon I subjected it towards.

      From my understanding it does not matter. You can determine which photon blast comes out by having either of the weapons active at the time of activation, so you aren't locked to just one.

      Crits now do max damage + 20%. Crit potency increases crit damage while crit rate increases you chance of a crit. Base crit rate is 5%

      Dont touch the sub-weapon it is legit a sacrifice to the main weapon. You can upgrade the main before or after doing the multiweapon with no issues

      @@Coolpapa2455 crit chance right now is a personal decision in my opinion.
      You have a base 5% crit chance so 1 in 20 attacks will get the 20% bonus effectively giving you a 1% damage increase on average. Crit damage bonus changes this a bjt.
      So if you find gear the boosts crit rate you can determine if you want to go down that route, right now or later.
      With the resugir weapon potential it adds 15-18% crit chance after a successful step dodge, for 30 seconds.
      And there are preset abilities ( rng based drops) that can also add ~8-10%.

      Tricky question because you have access to 3 weapons that don't need to be multiweaponed together. This issue becomes being ranger/gunner your skills are hyper focused which makes the use of other weapons limited to their weapon actions.
      Some being more useful without needing to have the class skills.
      So what weapons are you primarily using?

    How about if Sword combined with Rod and then you use magic with that weapon then how the game gonna calculate damage? cuz sword only got an Attack of melee damage but when it using a magic then will it be like calculating the magic just with the melee damage of Sword or else?

      So this is where collapsing the 3 attack stats comes into play. The Rod is technically considered strike damage because of the sword. With that Said you still need to affix tech augments to make your magic stronger.
      So Rod is calculated based of sword melee damage, but needs tech augments to make it stronger, melee augments will not.

    Did you know that there's capsules that specifically boost melee/tech, melee/ranged, and ranged/tech multi-weapon builds? I'm sure you have at least a few multi-weapon capsules already.....

      Yes ill do a quick follow up going through my current weapon and how I have it set up.
      The issue with melee only boosting melee is that in a multiwealon the sub weapon is considered as the same damage type as the main. So sword+ rod equals sword and melee/strike damage.
      So its a counter to the fact that your rod still needs tech affix though its damage is considered strike, especially when they collapsed the attack stats into one.

    Does the in game information not exist? was just trying to sit there and figure out how to imbue the wand after almost an entire day of using it and not realizing it was a thing.

      There might be some game info stuff somewhere on the menu. I never read it and doubt it has too much.
      Your best bet is reading the skill descriptions and then doing your best to figure it out from there or testing.
      Story mode is at least more helpful than it has been in past.
      In case you are still wondering. When you learn the skill charge a technique with wand and then you will imbue it with that tech.

      I noticed the lack of information on a lot of tooltips descriptions in game already, it really leaves out a large portion of the picture on what something is capable of!

    If I play Ranger/Hunter and I have a Rifle/Sword multiweapon , does my subclass have to be Hunter for me to use that weapon, or can I switch my subclass to Force and still use the benefits of my Rifle/Sword multiweapon?

      So you won't be able to use any hunter Photon arts or skills so the sword would just be a block button and for normal attacks as the counter attack is also linked to hunter class skills.

      @@Einhander So I tried making a multiweapon using my Resurgir Knuckles as the base. I had Resurgir Rifle, Luancher, and Wired Lance available in my inventory, but when it came to making the multiweapon, wired lance was the only option available. Guess we can't combine any weapon to each other. Still, I made a Knuckles/Wired lance, and the wire lance weapon action made a huge difference for me. Thanks again for your help.

    I put rod on my sword thinking i could basicly use the rods attacks lol basicly now just can sup up my sword i guess.

      You can use the rod normal attack animation. Just equip it on the weapon palette. But to use techs you will need a class that can cast techs aka force or techter.
      Think of them like photon arts for those classes. You need the class to use them.

      It depends on what you are going for. And I believe resurgir is crit chance not damage.
