@@piplupmaster4898 Banning the other forms, and changing forms in general, was purely because of typing. Oricorio isn't amazing, but it has a great supportive movepool. With decent typing, it does really well! For example, if I could have used Pom-Pom form, it would have stayed in against Banette instead of being forced to switch. But since the Pa'u form has just so many weaknesses, it makes it a lot harder to use than its other forms. Ergo, it's the F-Tier Oricorio form!
Gen 7 dropped the chance of self hitting in confusion from 50% to 33%, and you can really tell that's the case here. All those sweet kisses for too little profit..
I remember using Carbink in a mostly blind Nuzlocke when I played the original Sun. He's too bulky to die and has enough useful support moves to be a real team player. Towards the end, he took a crit metal claw from Gladion's Weavile... and lived.
I used a furfrou once in a Ultra Sun nuzlocke, i thought he would be a complete waste. Turns out he carried me to the end game and was definitely the teams MVP. 100% earned himself a nice lil spot in my fav pokemon list.
I've playing Pokémon since Yellow, 24 years ago, and I'm proud to say 7th gen was my favorite. It was a shame although all the cinematic, Pokémon series must have a "Press X to Skip" button.
Pokemon used to be extremely bare-bones when it came to story, and that had its ups and downs. As the games become progressively more cinematic, I don't think some form of skip for cutscenes or at least the option to bypass tutorials should be out of the question. My biggest gripe with Pokemon is that it never grew with it's audience. I completely understand why and what their market focus is, but it often feels as though they're all too happy to disregard their older fans that have followed the franchise since childhood. Long rant for a simple topic, but it's something I still hope to see improvement with in future titles!
So excited to see my suggestion become a full video! Watching from beginning to end was a real treat, and made me really want to look into doing my own trashlocke of the game!
Furfrou is one of my favorite pokemon!!! I'm so glad to see it putting in good work and someone appreciating it! I'm looking forward to when you do Kalos! Maybe cause everyone thinks gen 6 is super easy you could make the pokemon choices even more restrictive?
If you was wanting to save Totem Raticate for later, you shouldn't have caught the Rattata, cause doing that activated the Species Clause for that Line.
Absolutely this would have been the normal way to do it! But I thought I'd need Rattata for the Marowak fight, so I wanted to make sure I got it early. Game is hard enough as it is without limiting encounters even further. So I decided not to evolve it and put a fun asterisk on the species clause. We don't have to agree, but that's how I decided to play it!
@@keeperplays I'm surprised you didn't X out all the dead Mons for your death counter. At least you got through without accidentally using a dead Mon. IDK if it took you multiple Streams or one Stream while doing the Challenge
I love your content and sense of humor. If I can respectfully offer one piece of feedback, it is tough to watch the action because the gameplay is on hyperspeed. I know there is a ton to fit in these playthroughs and lots of work that go into these videos. Please know I appreciate your work and mean the feedback well. Thanks so much for your content.
Did want to respond to this and say I appreciate the feedback! I did notice when editing this that the footage felt a lot faster than normal. A huge part of that comes from the constantly spinning camera in battles, this wasn't an issue in previous gens I edited where everything is either mostly or completely still, so it was harder to tell most of the time when footage was sped up dramatically. I considered cutting parts of battles out but my initial instinct is to not do that, if just to keep the legitimacy of the battle in-tact. But on top of that, part of it was my own tiredness, after editing for so long and not finding a solution I was happy with, I defaulted to the sped footage. Definitely something I will experiment with more in the future!
Good video! I think Pyukumuku in particular is a little too strong for this type of challenge. Monstrous defensive stats and access to Toxic, Recover, Soak, and Dual Screens? Very strong. Carbink is similar in its very high bulk, good typing, and access to support moves such as Light Screen and Reflect. Wigglytuff may not be nearly as bulky, but a Normal/Fairy type with very high HP that learns almost every move in the game while also having access to Competitive is very strong.
Every Pokemon is good in their own right! There's always going to be a matter of opinion when it comes to ranking them. And a lot of my own biases are going to play in when I make my own lists too, there's a lot of Pokemon I've still never really used! Personally, I think the biggest one to get through the cracks was Shiinotic. VERY strong with Spore and Strength Sap.
platinum is as bad in cutscenes with the difference it's worse because of no dynamic visual but just text cutscenes instead. everything after gen 3 is trash. also for forced mini games blame gen 5
This is just factually incorrect. Cutscenes picked up starting in Gen 6, but 7, 8, and 9 have the most story-related cutscenes and extra text to go with them. This was largely due to the move to 3D which prompted more intense visuals. Without nostalgia goggles, Gens 3, 4, and 5 objectively are the "best" or at least most complete Pokemon experiences without being overweighted by excess story or cutscenes.
Great video! Love the effort in these, and I think you are making some quality content here! Constructive Criticism? The swearing sounded unnatural, and I didn't love it. Still amazing work!
While I appreciate the criticism, I don't plan on changing the way I talk and write. It's purely a product of the work I've surrounded myself with. It's possible that the "unnatural" sound is just how I sound reading a script, haha. I realize 90% of other PokeTubers avoid swears or bleep them, but I don't have the need to stay child-friendly, and thus don't feel like I have to watch myself as much as other channels might have to.
@@keeperplaysyeah dont worry about the swearing, other nuzlockers literally dumb their jokes down because their main audience is 12 or below, so having someone not do that is a breath of fresh air for an adult audience.
Shoutout to Citrus the Bruxish and Yellow the Kecleon who were both caught and just never saw the light of day, even in the video, haha.
Wait why did you ban the other forma of oricoro since they all have the same base stat you could just only catch 1 and use it to change form at will.

Lusamine has random AI, just like the wilds, just like all trainers in DP
And I hate it.
"if you dont like the rules i made for my own challenge then go fys" based😂❤
RIP floral that was brutal lived on 6hp than poisoned yikes that was so funny tho 🤣 like the excitement into a disappointment
Oh, I thought you was just gonna Mirror Coat the Ultra Necrozma with Pykumuku, since it was basically Water Type Wobbuffet
This was my original idea, but Pyukumuku actually doesn't learn Mirror Coat weirdly enough.
